I recieved word this monring that he has passed away. ( yesterday) After a long and hard battle with ALS.

I know that his post had become more sporatic due to his illness but he read the boards everyday.

He will be missed

So sad when I hear about these wonderful guys passing away . So sorry to hear of the loss I could tell he was very much adored and had several friends from here.

He was a very brave man who grasped every opportunity to enjoy life. My loss was that I never got to meet him but our personal messages were deep. I don't think he was a man to give up on life and it's obstacles and had much to offer others here. I would like to express appreciation for all he shared here which allowed others to open up with their medical and emotional issues. He is a prime example of why the over 60 board is needed so much. My condolences go out to all the people who grew so fond of him and are feeling this loss. He will be remembered always as a mover and shaker on this board who opened up very personal conversations and thoughts amongst us.

I'm always inspired by people that face such adversity with dignity, for lack of a better description.

Life is rarely fair or easy, and it just proves once again that you never know who is on this board or the burdens they're carrying.  It's reason enough to treat everyone with respect.

RIP Huggy Bear.
