I started following the "Plan" four years ago. It is a different way of looking at how you eat. To keep it simple you test foods and see how your unique body chemistry reacts to them.
For me the following puts weight on: red meat, cows dairy, pork, potatoes, tomatoes, mustard, ketchup, green peppers and certain fish. By cutting those out I went from 207 to 172, on a medium 6'0" frame, in a 10 week period. I found my abs again. If I'm bad and eat some restaurant meals and put on three or for pounds, I just go back to my plan stuff and it goes away again. You weigh yourself everyday, understanding its just a simple data point, not a judgement.
My wife is very different. She eats red meat and loses weight. We go out for dinner, she will order a steak and I will get chicken or fish. 99 time out of 100 the server try to give me the steak.
Add some new exercise classes and I can wear 32 inch waist pants again. Feel better across the board. I was able to discontinue crestor because my numbers dropped so much. BTW chocolate chip cookies don't put weight on me. What a nice surprise.

In the past few months I have noticed my orgasms can get to a new level. Especially the 5 or 10 seconds right before....it's crazy. Like I cross that line and there's no stopping it and it feels incredible before and during. I lost 40 pounds since spring and started exercising regularly. And I'm more sexually active now than I have been in years (got me a SB). I figure that's what helped. I've also always heard that saying by one of the talk show doctors that "if you lose 30 pounds you penis grows an inch" meaning losing the fat exposes more of the base of your cock.
They're wrong.....it didn't happen until 40 pounds. Ha ha ha. And it really did. It's still funny to me to see or feel myself flaccid and it looks and feels longer.
The crappy part is it hasn't helped improve my ED issues which I was really hoping for.
