Hello fellow gents.
I’m 71 and having inconsiderate results with pills.
I’ve decided to try Trimix.
My urologist advised starting at the lowest dose which is 10 units ie .1 cc and increasing the dose by 10 units until you reach a dose that works for you.
My questions is I’ve tried it 2 times once at 10 units then 20 units without achieving the desired result.,
In your experience how long did it take you to figure out what dose works for you?
Thanks to this community for your help.

It took me 4 or 5 tries to get it worked out. (I'm a bit younger than 71 but not a lot younger.)

I tried 10, then 15, then 20 and found that 18-22 seems to be about right.

So, I'd try again with 25 and then maybe 30. If it's still not working, then I'd call the urologist and have them confirm that you're doing the injection properly before going too much higher. (My urologist guided me through a small dose in the office to make sure I knew what I was doing.)

Hope it works for you.

injecting that you massage the entry point for a few seconds.  I use 18-20 units.

Talk to your urologist about the strength of the prescription.  Mine is PROSTAGLANDIN E1 30 mcg, papaverine 30 mg, phentolamine 3 mg.     I've been injecting 10 to 15 units for 15 years and it always does the trick.  But I just learned that the ratios of these three ingredients make a big difference and that the 30/30/3 mixture I get is stronger than some.   Also you should have an Inject-Ease device to make injecting with one hand (while you hold your dick with the other) easy.

Then go back to your doctor and tell him each time it does not work

Thank you all for your helpful advice.
My urologist started me on the lowest dose and I
have had no response. Disappointing.
I’m going back to him today to make sure I’m injecting correctly. I think I am as I’ve given tens of thousands of injections.
I hoping he will increase the concentration of the solution.
I’ll report back on my progress. I leaving on a trip for 3 weeks so I’ll update upon my return.

I tired of the injections, constantly going back to doctor and finally said F*** It.

I had an inflatable implant put in. The first thing chicks notice is that you don't lose your erection!

Something to think about!

Here is my progress report.
I tried the injections for a few weeks.
Hated it and inconsistent results.
I’m going in for a penile implant consultation.
Does anyone have experience with this procedure?
Are happy you did it, cost and is you partner(s) satisfied with the results.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm 70 and had my prostate removed back in 2020.  Coming up on five years' cancer-free, so I really have no complaints.  The surgeon saved the nerves.  I have dry orgasms (as strong as ever) and have tried to work through ED since the surgery.  The doc put me on 5mg of daily Cialis and ordered me a prescription penis pump.  They look a whole lot different than the pumps at the sex shops!

I can get reasonably hard, but not hard enough to sustain intercourse.  Providers can finish the job either manually or sometimes orally.  I don't know how much of this is physical and how much is mental.

One of the deterrents for me about injections is you apparently have to also inject an antidote when you're done engaging in consenting adult activities.  Right now, it's a bridge too far.  I haven't had a conversation with the doc about this, but, I wonder if anyone here can confirm or deny?

I've used injections for years and never heard of injecting an antidote.  my erection will last 3-4 hours with no side effects.

Similarly, my urologist has never mentioned any kind of injected "antidote" and I've never had to do that. I've been advised to start with a low dose (~10 units) and experiment with it until you find what your body needs. Currently, I find that ~15 units works well. And, the recommendation I got is that, if the erection hasn't gone down in a few hours, take a few small pseudoephidrine (sp?) pills and walk around or apply ice to accelerate the wearing off of the trimix. That's always worked for me.

I'm starting to see a connection that my erection will start to go down after peeing.  Kind of remember my urologist saying this also.

The antidote is if you’re erection last 4hours or longer. It’s called a prioprisom . It is an over the counter medication for allergies you can get from any drugstore. Erections over 4 hours can be dangerous . I forgot the name of med but it’s a common one

I use trimix plus. I’m 73 works every time. I would be shooting pool with a rope without it.

Yes I’ve had an implant since 7/16/20. Performed by Dr Dean Knoll in Nashville, he has since retired. I believe the total cost was around $70,000, (mostly hospital charges). Medicare and my supplement paid every penny. My implant is an AMS 700 CX.
My wife didn’t like it , said she could feel the tubes and I lost some girth. She’s now an ex. No other women have complained and I have several swing partners and a gf. No one complains. Once I pump up I stay hard as long as I want. As I tell everyone I’m a human sex toy. My girlfriend says I have ruined her for other men. Since I’m 70 and have prostate cancer I no longer ejaculate but have internal orgasms. I think my gf and I fucked 3 hours almost on Easter and she said “did I tell you that you fucked me good “. YES you did. Then she said “I can’t feel my legs”. lol.
Just had a foursome and threesome this last week. It was great.
Go Bionic and get a Super Cock. But most importantly get a Doctor that does a lot of implants. Also it’s a several week recovery and you will be shocked how black and blue the dick is after surgery

I had it done once in the medical lab and didn't feel anything. Afterward......  since then, i'm too much of a coward to inject myself. Lol.

To continue my saga.
I gave up on injections due to inconsistencies and I disliked
a needle into my penis.
So, I finally went with the inflatable implant.
The surgery itself was not horrible. The doctor told me not to use for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks I started inflating and deflating. There was definitely a learning curve for the deflating process.
Anyway, I’m 5 months out and have no regrets.
Wished I’d done it sooner. It works like a charm.
Nice to get a super hard erection that you don’t have to worry about.
Just thought I would update my brothers.

I’m so happy to see this update! You sound really satisfied with it which I love.

I have a couple of questions if you feel up to answering them! A couple of my regular gentlemen might be candidates for this.

How is your sensation? How long post op did it take for you to get to that level?

Are you able to get to orgasm? If so, is the experience qualitatively different?

Again, totally thrilled for you.

This is the most useful post I have seen here. I had prostate cancer which was treated with 23 sessions of radiation. I still have my prostate. I am semi-functional with dry Os which are still good when I get there with the right touch or oral. I am reluctant to use any type of steroid based injections because my Urologist informed me that they can promote cancerous cell growth again and raise my PSA (which is super low now). Needle in my guy doesn't thrill me either. Implant? I don't know how spontaneous you can be with those. I am still employed so I don't think group medical with cover it or the shots. I also don't know if you have pleasurable sensitivity and can still climax using an implant. If there is no pleasurable sensitivity, what's the point. You could use a strapon to please her.

Amswers to my questions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I’ll try and answer all the questions.
I’m 72 and Medicare paid for everything otherwise my Dr said it would be about $16,000 in California where I reside.
From time of surgery to feeling perfectly comfortable plan on 7-8 weeks. My doctor said and some friends confirm that the implants are usually good for 10 years. I have one friend that hade one placed when he was early 60s due to prostate surgery, he just had his second placed about 11 years later. Both he and his wife love it. I can orgasm perfectly normally although sometimes it takes a little longer. If I’m going to a provider I’ll pump it up before I leave. When I arrive I’ll use her bathroom to urinate and wash up. At that time I’ll give it few more pumps then I’m good to go.
Most women are amazed how hard it gets and stays hard for as long as you like after cumming.
I have been very happy with the results.
Any other questions don’t hesitate to ask.
We have to help each other in this journey we call aging.

I am 72 and had prostate (cancer) surgery 3 years ago.  I tried the injection routine with professional supervision for 6 months. Starting with low concentration and volume to eventually the maximum concentration and volume. Unfortunately, I found the whole process to ultimately be a waste of time. I would get anxious knowing I had to give myself an injection but most importantly the injections simply weren't that effective in terms of hardness.

After much research and several consultations, 2 weeks ago I had penile implant surgery. Time will tell if that was the right decision but considering everything I have learned, I'm optimistic.

I sent an earlier response, but it doesn't look like it posted. Anyway, I'll be brief. I'm 72 and had prostrate surgery 3 years ago. (I remain cancer free.) I tried the injections going from the minimum concentration and volume amount to the maximum all with professional supervision. Beyond the anxiety I felt, I did not achieve the hardness I needed.

Then I tried the Erecaid (vacuum) pump with a cock ring.  This takes a while to master (cock ring size is critical). I got to be really good using this device but ultimately decided it was a lot of work.

Two weeks ago, I had penile implant surgery. I opted to go this route after a lot of research, consultation and discussions with others who had this surgery. Time will tell if I made the right decision but I'm optimistic.
