I like to joke around with you boys a bit here and there but this is no joking matter.
I appreciate everyone here who has served and those that have lost friends or family to war.
The other poster is correct as well. We did a huge disservice to the men coming back from Viet Nam. They got thrown into a hell hole then got ran over again when they came home. You deserved better and America let you down then.
It seems like attitudes, thank God, have changed drastically since then and the military is looked up to and revered. Let's keep that going.
So thank you one and all for your fine, brave service. Many people do "get it." And the ones that don't will some day, I hope.
Everything we do, from attending sporting events, concerts, to all our freedoms, like freedom of speech and religion, to our bill of rights and our constitution, are all brought to us courtesy of the U.S. soldier.
Let's remember him or her this weekend.
