I generally try to see a provider once a week or sometimes every two weeks. I find I generally enjoy the meetings after a  two week  wait more that just one. I have three regulars who I rotate through with one who is the cream of the crop.  
Recently realizing I was speeding 20 K  plus per year on the hobby  has caused for some soul searching.  
Has anyone experienced the same situation ?  

I assume that you are referring to the $$ you spent. It is all relative to your annual income. Since you are thinking about it, I would guess that $20K is excessive for you.

Having been sixty+ for a while, I have slowed down a lot since my early enthusiasm. Nowadays, I am happy with 2-3 encounters per year. Very easy on the wallet and I go for quality.

Just like any other fun thing, you have to control your impulse to spend on it.
