Let me start out by saying everyone, but particularly women, have one or two things they'd like to change about themselves, and I have no problem with a little self-improvement. Based on knowing many women that have had one or two procedures, I've decided that it's perfectly OK to do a little upgrade, but my rule-of-thumb is to stop at two, and only two! Beyond that, you're not trying to fix imperfections, you're trying to become another person.
I've had four GFs that had breast implants and they all looked and felt great. The ladies were all thrilled with the results too, even after 15-20 years. But none of them went larger than a C-cup, and that's the key, along with a good surgeon. Breasts are power for a woman and too many ladies go power mad and ruin everything. Even if you get a C-cup, you'll end up with D's after the inevitable weight gain of aging.
I've never known ANY woman that needed to have her lips inflated, so ladies, just stop that shit now, please! I've never known anybody that looked good, though a couple looked OK. Just don't do it, I beg of you.
I've known several women that have had what I'd call sensible face lifts at the appropriate age, again, moderation being the key. The results of two of them were great. One was a provider and she took 15 years off her age. Another woman smoke and drank and there was virtually no improvement. If you want to age well, quit smoking and only drink now and then. That will do more than any surgeon can.
As for men, I think a minor procedure is OK, but guys really have to be careful. Guys can't hide facial scars under hair or makeup like women can, plus, nobody wants to look like they're standing in a wind tunnel all the time. And for some reason, men often end up that way- similar to women's "gargoyle" face when they over do it.
And all these stupid implants to make you look cut that they're pushing now for younger men, god, just shoot me now. If you're that shallow that you have to have your pecs or you calves fattened with implants, you're a total douche bag and I don't think your lack of muscle definition is your biggest problem.
But if a guy has an unattractive jowl, or some other minor thing like that, then I don't see anything wrong with fixing it. It's not really any different than having cosmetic surgery to fix a bad smile. I knew a lady that went from a 7 to a 9 just by having veneers put on her teeth. And the job market for men is much more competitive than it used to be, so appearance does matter.
So while I've seen the horror stories/pictures like everybody else, my personal experience in Orange County CA has been very positive and I'd be supportive of anyone that wanted to make a couple sensible upgrades. I think the key is to aim to look like a person your age, or five years younger, that has aged really well, as opposed to trying to look like a person 20 years younger.
