I thought it might be fun to go back in time and recall our "best"  New year Memory while  we still can.....My favorite was  a surprise party I had for my brother's 40th  birthday he is a New Year's Baby  he had no clue in fact tried to cancel coming due to the fact he had been very ill the week before......I had masks made of his graduation picture life size with cut-outs for our eyes  we held on wands up to our faces when he came into the backyard  we all yelled Happy Birthday and he said later it was  like the twilight zone seeing his face on a 100 friends and family we did  it up big with a band and all the fun makers .......a great time was had  by all  but the best was seeing him so surprised and so happy he felt all the love  that night and I know it was a night he will always cherish

I can't recall a single New Years that stands out... and I have a lot more in my past than I do in my future...

Ask again for St Patrick's Day or Easter... I have lots of great memories around those holidays :)

Most of the St Paddy's day memories are a bit fuzzy :)

Just about all of my holidays have been spent by myself. But I went to Reno on my 40th birthday (21 years ago), won $75 playing the slots, and tried to find a young lady willing to take some or all of it. But pretty much all the ladies I ran across were anything but young, and all were TOFTT. Thank goodness for TER.

It was with my first real girl friend.

We celebrated at a nice club, then drove to her parent's house to spend the weekend with them.

We couldn't sleep in the same room (their house, their rules, etc.), but she sneaked into my room in the middle of the night and we celebrated the right way for a few hours till she had to get back to her room.

I just love that memory.

My GF and I were close friends with two married couples and spent nearly every weekend together.  We were in our early 20's, the girls were hot, and there had always been sexual tension between us.  I also think we all had wondered about what it would be like to be with each other's partners, and on this particular New Years Eve, we found out.

After leaving another party early, we went to one of the couple's apartments and continued drinking.  He suggested we play strip poker and were were wasted enough to think it was a great idea.  Unlike all the drunks on the General Discussion board, we couldn't play poker for shit, so we all ended up naked in short order, and nearly laughed ourselves to death in the process.

Well, what do you do for an encore after you're all sitting around naked?  You swap partners and have sex, of course!  It wasn't my best performance ever, but my partner said she had her first orgasm with me.  That was flattering, but the part that made me feel like a stud was she kept saying "You're so much bigger than (name of husband".  Those are words you can't hear enough, but I think the husband may have also heard them because he was a little cool toward me for quite a while afterwards, even though it was his idea to swap.

That was 40 years ago tomorrow night, and it was literally, the only memorable New Years Eve I've ever had- but what a memory!

I went back to one of my old college hangouts for some good blues music. I met the most beautiful woman and her friend. We celebrated the whole night and into the morning. I can not put my finger on what made it so special but I remember it well.

At my age (71), the last New Year is the best, since it means I made it to another year of hobbying.  Victoria, the best to you for the new year.

my then lady friend and i had a ritual. a quiet light seafood dinner topped off with a Louis XIII cognac at a favorite restaurant, then back to my place where we would pash out in front of the fire. for midnight there was champagne and some pate' to nosh on. quieter than most would like, but we were always very happy.
