"Pretty Baby" by Blondie because my gf accidentally hit the record button on my cassette player in the middle of the song and recorded our wild lovemaking for many enjoyable playbacks.  I still have that cassette around...somewhere....if I could only find something to play it on

The movie was 2001 a Space Odyssey.
The song that was #1 the week I graduated was "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkel...possibly a portent of things to come.

I ran away from my redneck midwestern city so I graduated early. So we could go with either Shadow Dancer by Andy Gibb (I thought my era was more rock n rollish) Or "My Sharona" by the Knack. First sex had to be something by Aerosmith on Snoopy sheets of someone's little sister lol.

The year was 1968 and the hits just kept on coming.

I also had a GF senior year and into the summer that knew how badly I wanted to get in her pants and used to mock me by calling me Ben, the frustrated main character from The Graduate.

Now days she would have given it up as a sophomore, but back then it was more fun to torture boys who wanted your 18-year old body.

I loved Rick Astley. His song Never Going to Give You Up is one of my all time faves STILL!

Def Leppard was a favorite to listen to while screaming down the road.

I remember Jefferson Starship and Sara and Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now.

I really loved 80's music in the 80's, but I'm a much bigger fan of blues, motown, jazz, rockabilly, etc. than I am of that generation of music so I don't get too nostalgic over it.

I found a nice quiet bar with a juke box full of Johnny Mathis slowwwww romantic dancing tunes such as "Chances Are", "Misty" :A Certain Smile", etc.  For $5, I could take my date dancing and have a couple of beers.  Johnny made a great warm-up before we drove out to the lake to watch the "submarine races".

Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head - B.J. Thomas
American Women/No Sugar Tonight - Guess Who
Let It Be - The Beatles
Thank You (Falettin Me Be Mice Elf Again) - Sly & Family Stone ( this is the correct spelling for the title)
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel

Joy To The World - Three Dog Night
Maggie May/Reason to Believe - Rod Stewart
One Bad Apple - Osmonds
How Can You Mend a Broken Heart - Bee Gees
Brown Sugar - Rolling Stones

These were Number One songs during my senior year of high school. They were all number one for more than one week.

I first made love to the album (yes, vinyl) the Bee Gees Greatest hits. Long before "Stayin' Alive". LOL
My first real kiss - under the stairs to the girls locker room in junior high school one morning before 1st period.

My first full experience was in my mid-teens. She lived on the other side of town and we had to drive almost an hour to get together. At 15 1/2 I could drive to her on my Vespa with my learner's permit, and we'd go riding with her on her small Honda. The Beach Boys "Little Honda" still brings back great memories!

Sgt. Pepper hit the record stores the week I graduated.   Perfect timing as it was concurrent with my discovery of various mind-altering substances (and the puirchase of some nice headphones).  What I miss the most about LP's is the big album covers with great art.....glad we were young then instead of now!

but #6 was The Doors' "Light My Fire" and the Oscar best film was "In the Heat of the Night".

for a long time music and sexuality were not closely linked for me though. since i am very musical this had more to do with my partners who were mostly tactile and the Beatles were prominent in their background ambiance. since i was more into The Doors, The Mothers of Invention and Jefferson Airplane..... well it was clear it would never last! LOL!

my 2nd LTR was full of music. we both had classical music backgrounds but i knew when ever "Just the Two of Us" was cued up that interesting things would be happening soon.

I am with you on that.  If one of my grandkids pulled all the stunts now that I did then, he would spend the next 30 or 40 years in prison as a habitual criminal.  And  the most LE contact I had was getting pulled over for a drivers license check when I was cruising for SW's.
