I have ample justification for Cialis daily for BPH...  did the free trial & liked the results.  Getting morning wood again for the first time in years...  interesting.  Wife has no interest in sex...  but I digress.  Any ED benefit is strictly a UTR bonus.  So the local pharmacy tells me a crazy price for a 30 day refill...  Insurance requires a preauthorization.  Both my internist (who wrote the script) & my urologist are on board with my having it...  but that doesn't address the hops necessary to jump through.
I have found others recommendations for mail order sources...  USA sources require a Rx...  which is now stuck with a local pharmacy chain.  Do I go back to my doctor for a paper script to send?   Or do I look for sources that have ways around the Rx?

If you happen to have been diagnosed with enlarged prostate (BPH) Cialis has been approved by the FDA for treatment of BPH. It works for me that way

As mentioned above most insurance won't cover Cialis (Tadalfil)....

I now use a Canadian pharmacy with a prescription. The price per table is about 1/2 the U.S. price. Canadian Drugs used to offer a generic from India, but, due to quality issues they now only offer Cialis branded (from the UK).

....to discover that I have coverage for Stendra under my health care insurance plan.  My out of pocket is a tad over $7 a pill with the insurance covering 3 pills per 30 days.  Was also pleasantly surprised to find that the side effects I get from Stendra are less than I was experiencing with Viagra.  Even if I was to pay full boat for the Stendra it is about 2/3 retail of Viagra.  For me a 200mg Stendra gives the same result as a 100mg Viagra.  Stendra is fairly new on the market and my prescribing physician had to hand write the script as the drug was not yet in her database.

Kwikmed (On line) will develop an Rx for them with a real Dr.. BUT their prices are absurdly high.. I bought 10, 100 Mg pills of Viagra from them for something like $400 PLUS shipping (!!) .. I split them for a long time and recently tried out what everyone told me and now quarter them so it will last awhile.. but still crazy expensive.. (the quarter works fine).

On what do you base the opinion that "most" won't?

My HMO pays 1/2 the cost.  I now use 72 hour Cialis; most recent cost to me
was $16/pill.  There is a limit of 8 per month.

One benefit of 10 years of using ED drugs:
I am thicker than before.

...they now pay for the Viagra which had a price increase it appears. It used to be about $25 for 100 mg now it's about $36.

But if you do not need 100 mg V, as I didn't, I was cutting carefully to 25mg so about $9 a pop.  My question was specific to daily as I'm more interested in the BPH help that the occasional romp. Of course, I'll no longer need any Viagra for Those romps.  
I feel my BPH treatment is legit & have years of records to back it up so want to pursue coverage under Blue Cross.  I am going to contact BC to see where to order to get the best reimbursement.  If I fail, I'll have given it an honest try.  If I fail, I'll go back to my MD for a paper script so I can mail order outside the system.    
Appreciate the great advise, given me the courage to pursue the reimbursement.  I'd still like to hear of where to go outside the system if necessary.

Well now, since you advocate so much magnanimity from government, does it not naturally follow that it is YOUR patriotic duty for the good of all mankind to offer YOUR services free of charge before said government goes broke?  Just kidding, but it's an idea, eh? lol

I get Viagra by prescription thru Medco (pharmacy by mail).  I get 30 pills of 100mg for $50 and as often as not I cut them in half, so it's quite cheap. My insurance must be paying a lot if the normal retail price is as high as some of you guys are reporting.

and without it the Pharmacy quoted me a ridiculous price. (approx. $175 for 30 days!  I thibnk the pharmacy is used to this & routinely quotes the price so they don't fill Rx & get refused to pay.)  

The pharmacy suggested & I requested my doctor submit for prior authorization.  My doctor's office contacted me to inform me that the Prior Authorization was denied.  My doctor's medical assistant asked (reading off the insurance form) if I had previously tried Viagra or Levitra.  Well, actually I have & they work fine for ED but I skipped all that because we were requesting coverage for BPH.  I mentioned 2 treatments I'd tried previously & failed for BPH.  Within 24 hours, the prior authorization was approved.  
Unfortunately the Cialis daily is tier 2 for me with a cost of $45 or so for 30 days.  My doctor prescribed 5mg & I cut the first 30 trial in half & intend to do likewise with the rest.  I also cut down some 20 mg Cialis to 2.5 +/- but they are about the same size so the smaller pills must use a filler. The 20 mg when cut was so tiny it was hard to cut them evenly but since it is slow to leave the blood stream...  any unevenness is unimportant.  
BTW I decided to go public with my BPH treatment so it's not a secret from SO.  After all it's for BPH!  

If I had not gotten Prior Authorization granted, I had laid he ground work with my doctor to request a paper Rx which I could shop discount sources with.

the idea is correct. It just depends whether your plan approves. One plan may, where any plan does not.

I get Viagra from the V.A., they give me 4 pills a month but I 100 mg so I can cut them in half. Oh, I did tell them the 50mg were not working. What's a little fib? What is does not help for me is a PE problem.
