most providers love that cash in that envelope..i dont blame them..some however do accept credit cards..does the accepting of credit cards increase business by attracting those short of cash? does it decrease their business because of the hassle of calling for an approval or the risk of their so finding it on the billing statement? or does it really have no effect at all ?

I wouldn't even know how to accept a credit card, plus do you really want to trust your CC info with a provider?  (not saying that we are theives but not everyone is honest either).

I do accept pre paid credit cards like Visa/AE/Mastercard and those you have to call and make sure there is actually money on them. Accepting a regular credit card has its problems. If the lady has a good business name that wouldn't imply anything then a guy can easily brush it off as a business expense.

I've had several men wish I took credit cards but it is a tricky situation to do so.

As a long time hobbyist (only been around TER since the late 2000's), why would anyone use a credit card for Anything hobby related?

Cash is and will always be King, unless we go to the 'Cashless Society' described in some Sci-Fyi movies.

No paper trail =  No accountability!

Everyone has their preferences. Some guys would never dream of using a cc, from fear of a paper trail, to the lady having his info, to SO finding out... the reasons are endless. Others prefer it, for reasons ranging from not wanting to carry cash, to not having the exact cash at that point in time, to being able to write it off as a business expense.. again, there are many reasons.

I just posted this same question on both my regional(WI) board here & another board, & the responses are widely spread. I can see how some would be uncomfortable with someone they do not know having their cc info.. but if she's a trust worthy lady, than how is it any different than when you give the waitress at your local restaurant your cc to pay for your meal? I personally took credit cards for a little over a yr from 07-08 & only stopped because the economy tanked & people no longer wanted to put purchases on cc. They were only paying for things that they could afford to pay with in cash, right then and there.

I never had any problems with it, & never had anyone question the safety of their information. I don't know if the level of trust has changed over the years, but I have noticed this is a big concern.

One thing about cc, is that businesses that accept them, naturally have increased business, due to impulse buying. A guy may really want to see a lady NOW, but doesn't get paid until next week... a lady that accepts cc may be an awesome idea to him.

Calling for an approval takes all of 5 minutes, & what's on the gents cc statement should never lead back to anything having to do with the hobby or anything of the sort.

I'm two years into accepting credit cards, and what I've found:

I have several regular clients who always charge their sessions with me. They have business credit cards, and my tech-oriented billing name blends right in with other business charges.

Many first-time clients use their cc's to make a deposit with me for an extended date, then pay the balance in cash.  This is much more convenient for both of us than sending them to Walgreen's for a GreenDot card as I used to.

Those who prefer cash all the way? No problem!

Maybe because I have a long track record and an excellent reputation, I've never had anyone question my trustworthiness with their cc info.

It just gives you more options, is all.  More gents are sticking with cash, but occasionally it just saves a trip to the ATM, or they can book a longer meeting than they normally would.....It's purely a matter of choice and what works best for you.

I also have a solid review and track record and have been an escort for 8 years now.  I have much to loose by hurting anyone's reputation or ripping anyone off.  I know where my bread is buttered.

I get it about trying to hide it in expense accounts but really...  unless you own the company...  way too much risk.

....for multi day dates.  I usually will receive a 1099, as well.  I do accept credit cards if the gentleman and I have visted before.  I also except American Express Gift Cards; sealed with the original receipt attached.

Hugs and Kisses,
Kelly
