Question for Retiring Ladies
Kaylie See my TER Reviews 2757 reads

When I retire or die, how do I ensure that everything I have on-line, all the sites, photos, emails, ... are permanently deleted?  The last thing I want is for my family to see all the sex, swing, bdsm, ... sites that I've been on for decades.
Not sure I want my death notice to say " we had no idea our great Aunt was such a wild one!"

You may want to post it on the General forum for broader reach, also the Provider’s forum if you have access.

I say it’s tough because it’s possible to delete everything you have direct control over, but there’s some things you don’t control. An example are the “scraper” sites that steal content from other sites. Then there’s TER. It’s not too difficult to get your profile and all reviews attached to that profile removed, but it’s another thing to get your ads and posts removed. Also doubles profiles seem to stay around even when both members of the duo have been delisted. I know providers who retired years ago, and their posts, ads (some with photos) and doubles profiles are still around. You might check with Admin to see if there’s a way to remove some/all of that info upon retirement.

Delete all inappropriate emails, and empty your trash. Delete all ‘old’ text messages. Delete your browsing history that’s a year or more old. Remove all cookies from your browser. Start deleting everything you can the moment you don’t need it anymore.

And if you have a someone you TOTALLY trust, meet with an attorney to draw up instructions that will be released to said Trustee to execute upon your death. Make it financially beneficial to the Trustee to actually bother to do it. And then make the time to create and constantly update said instructions.

Focus on what you can control, not things like scraper sites - if your relatives & friends aren’t “steered” in a certain direction, it’s highly unlikely they’ll suddenly start researching your activities.

Trust me, after you die, you will have no concerns about your reputation -- or anything else for that matter.

she cares about how members of her family (parents, etc) would feel about it. As in, thinking about other people.

Some folks do that.

Before you go search online & contact everywhere your listed to have them take it down. I’ve done it previously it’s a lot of work, but they should have no issues because it’s for your privacy, and you’re no longer available. Good luck!
