Of course no gentleman expects a lady to really, truly fess up about her age. When I am searching for someone new to meet, I apply a certain calculus to arrive at a provider's true age. It's just a guess, but many women play the game perfectly, and I get it close.

But I know there are some girls out there subtracting 10 or 15 years off their true age.

Here is the problem with this: as I get older and watch my daughter age, I've decided that I don't want to meet ladies who remind me of her. It's creepy. I'd rather meet a woman no younger than 45-ish, so I can enjoy fantasizing that she really could be my wife or GF or pickup.  I know many--maybe most--guys don't give a fuck and it doesn't bother them at all to be seeing girls 40 years younger. But I'll bet a lot of men feel like me.

Think of it this way: if you're claiming to be 34 when you're really 48 two things are going to happen:

1. I'll probably pass you over.  
2. The 40 year-old guys you meet might be disappointed. Where I would have been perfectly delighted. Which kind of client do you like best, disappointed or delighted?

There's someone for everyone. If we're hobbying into our 70s, 55 year-old women are our young hotties!  

Just keep it in the ballpark is all I'm saying.
