No, Cialis does not improve your sex drive. I don't think any of the ED drugs do that. They just help you to achieve and maintain an erection. You still have to get it up the old-fashioned way.

I've learned to manage the back pain by lowering the dosage. Also, if I take it on a regular basis I don't seem to get the back pain.

I have no clue how Cialis would work for BPH as I don't have that problem. I took a natural supplement called Betterman once that did me some good and I believe it was also supposed to be good for BPH. Unlike most supplements it actually had some science to back up the claims.

Taking Cialis didn't do anything in the way of boosting my sex drive. It didn't work reliably for me as an ED med either. Viagra has worked every time. Sometimes I did get the backache with Cialis, sometimes I didn't.  It only lasted about a day. Actually only lasted as long as it took for the Advil to kick in. I'm not familiar with any claims that ED meds (specifically Cialis) boosts sex drive. It could seem so I guess because of confidence there will be no issues with getting and keeping an erection. I didn't use the daily dose Cialis and unfortunately don't have any info or experience with the rest of your questions.

One advantage of Cialis for BPH treatment is that you can use it for an excuse for taking it even if your SO has cut you off.

I am going to be 66 years old soon..I still don't need Cialis per say..But, I just started the hobby this year in June and I have 4 stents and lot of medications related to that, including beta blocker, blood pressure pills, cholesterol pills and blood thinner. So I asked for Cialis..What I find is that the quality of erection is superb and I keep getting very good erections for the next 2-3 days. So I make everyone happy. I don't find any back ache issues. What I have found is that amount of ejaculate seems to have diminished, especially the 2nd time around.
But, hey, I count my blessings...
