Seems like there are some similarities between basketball and the hobby:

Dribble before you shoot.
Drive the hole.
Penetrate the middle.
Great ball handling.
Time out after an intense run.
Turnovers add to the excitement.

And of course two games we'd want to see or participate in:

The Cougars vs. The Johnnies
The Beavers vs. The Trojans

You'll lose the ball if you "double dribble"
Make sure you don't go "out of bounds"

Try to win w/o "going into overtime"

Take it down the lane. But you can only stay three seconds. Typical up sell.

Sadly in our game there are no free throws. The throws are about 750/hr.

The ladies are great at taking charges.  

My strategy is always box and one, or triangle and two, but never man to man.  

In our game we don't box out, we inbox.  

In our game the madness lasts all year.

In our game, if the floor gets wet, we don't stop.

In our game, we don't deny the first pass.  

If your atf likes you, you might get a double bonus.

I'm always happy when my point has a great game.

Although the coach says not to, we love to cherry pick.

I could do the layup drill all night long.  

While it's good to pick and roll, it's better to pick and pop.

My favorite position is always, swingman.  

And finally, for us, the best way to score is, the hook shot

However, every once in awhile ,I like to get double teamed.

I almost always forget or loose track of any game plan I try to put together before the action starts.

Unlike soccer, however, there is usually little or no "extended time".
