I have heard by way of explanation that the extra $ or so is for the gal's prep time, to make sure things are clean.

I see 2-3 gals who encourage me to have anal with them because they genuinely enjoy it.  They don't charge extra for it either.  I enjoy it too, but not having it is no deal breaker.  I certainly would not do it with a gal if I thought she was unhappy doing so.

In fact I have a long time favorite who used to encourage me to do anal, but asked to stop recently and I am fine with that.

I enjoy anal sex when it is offered.  I can't explain why it's such a turn-on.  Maybe it's the forbidden fruit aspect of it, or maybe because it's not an every day sort of thing.  The visual is also fantastic.  I've known a few women that liked to finish with anal sex, so I know they enjoyed it as much as I do since they were the ones that suggested it.  The women I've known that liked it often had their most intense orgasms that way- sometimes it was the only way they could orgasm.

I asked a fellow TER alum why he felt it is so good.  And his reply was "it is the power trip".  And I might tend to agree with that analysis.  The "feeling" for me was not nearly as good as with vaginal or oral, and I really don't have any real interest in revisiting.

It's not a power trip at all for me. In fact, the first time I did it, it was at the behest of my partner. She told me how good it was for her and I was very interested in pleasing her. I have been wondering about the same questions.  I can remember back in my days when I was more adventuresome, the 60's thru the 80's, I could not find a provider that offered anal.  I think the Internet-oriented porn movies have popularized anal sex.
