Apologies to any who may think I am making light of a person's death, but my aim is to celebrate this person whom I've only been vaguely aware of before.

She died doing what she loves, and I think that is an inspiration to all of us.

She dies with her boots on.

Governor of New York?  He died of a heart attack at his townhouse in Manhattan alone with a young female 'aide' named Megan Mershak.  Although it was never proven, it was widely accepted that he'd died 'in the saddle' so to speak.
If I had to choose how to go out, first choice would be to go to sleep perfectly happy & die without awakening (I'm kind of a coward where this is concerned), 2nd would  be at the height of ecstasy.  At least my last thought would be 'OH WOW!'

gotta figure on this board folks would remember who rockerfeller was

look at the title of the board

(he was appointed by Ford after Nixon slunk off into the sunset!), and not sure who would remember the scandal around his passing away.

just not the scandal.  Like a previous poster said about making my exit, those would be my two preferred options, in my sleep, or in the saddle.

Swim

Not much was mentioned about fashion so I will admit I don't know that history of her life. I do know she was a great woman who went  to Africa to fight against and help young ladies already with female genital mutilation. She involved herself in the cause for many years and helped open a shelter in Africa where young woman could go and take refuge.

She will be greatly missed by so many
