I, do not consider a whore to be the same as an escort, or a pimp to be an agency.

Pimps take your $, and agencies help ladies to get calls.  Now if a pimp owns the agency, then ya lmfao they are the same.  hehe smile 4 me giggles xo

An agency does the advertisement, sets appointments, handles the cost and procurement of a location, verifies the client and does the day to day work of running a ladies business. In return the Agency gets a fee or percentage of the donation. For many ladies the agency route is best for her since she only wants to put energy into the date time alone and continue with her life until she is ready to make money again.

We ladies who are independent spend lots of time doing all these things that the agency does for their fee.

The pimp takes all your money or most of it. He doesn't look after your safety just his pocket book.

Speaking from experience, they are wonderful at guiding your life in the right direction in this business. They teach you how to invest your money in your life and not ever to go shopping until you are broke again and need to work. The other upside is they aren't anything like an agency, you make the same as if you were independent because the client pays all the extras directly to them. The companions never take a percentage cut. They also teach you about the world of companionship and how not to get sucked into the "I've fallen for a client" syndrome.

Agencies I feel walk a very fine line as they are taking a good portion of the ladies income and that's not really fair in my feeling since the girls are doing all the work. Don't flame me but screening and making hotel reservations are simple procedures that anyone can do, there's no need to have anyone else do it for you. As you can tell it really bothers me how much a girl has to work to make anything with an agency.

Words have underlying meaning. Connotation. They become associated with a positive or negative by prolonged use in a certain context. No a procurer is not a pimp. But a pimp is a procurer. Procure/procurer is what they do. Pimp (the person and the action) is How they do it. Pimp is all negative. The discussion is interesting on some level but I can't believe you really wonder if the agency is really a pimp. (Though it is possible that an agency could operate that way.)

underlying meaning and connotation can be regional... I don't think the word whore is as pejorative in the west as it is in the bible belt for instance.. we have legal whore houses in Nevada and are not as far removed in time from the red light district that existed in the mining camps even as late as my childhood and early adulthood and some of the red light district ladies were accepted members of the community and well respected for the service they provided to a male dominated society...

pimp to me evokes the stereotype guy running a stable of unwilling women through physical abuse and psychological terror in the less desirable areas of the big cities like New York and San Francisco.. a very negative connotation that I wouldn't extend to an agency or a legal whore house altho they certainly can and some do use some of the same tactics....

remarkable difference in some lady's ability to do the business end (timely emails especially) and some others who don't do a very good job of communicating, are usually at least 15 minutes late, etc.

that's where you'll hear these various terms to describe them both.
