We discussed meeting up while I was out of the country on business. She happened to be going through a rough time and said she needed the deposit that day. My heart went out to her, so I sent her one via CashApp, which she claimed she could not withdraw on her end as it was in “Pending” status (CashApp later confirmed it went through just fine). She asked me to make a second deposit to her Venmo account, promising to refund the first once it went through. She didn't.
