Review: Katy Shaw / Katie / Kathryn

This was one amazing day, a veritable comedy of errors. I’m including it to indicate how, despite the most careful planning for a session, things can and do go awry. But somehow, we persevered and wound up having a wonderful time together. We even managed to get the entire time in that I booked. Here’s what happened.

Katy had to come from downtown (where she had booked the wrong hotel, but that’s another story for another time) out to the suburbs. She was running late and tried to email to let me know. Meanwhile, I had already left for the appointment. I had a brand new smart phone – my first – and I tried calling her at the appointed hour to get her hotel room. After numerous tries and many voice messages left, I finally got someone to answer. The problem was I had entered her number wrong, off by one digit.

Great! Here I am in a hotel parking lot with no way of getting in touch with Katy. Then I noticed my brand new phone – which I had no clue how to operate – had an email feature. I played with that for a few minutes and finally found some messages from Katy. “Did I get her message?” she asked. “Where was I?” “When will I be there?”

We made contact … or at least she did. Now, how do I answer emails with this stupid machine? After almost 10 minutes, not having a clue about what I was doing, I finally came across a reply button. I replied, and since we had been communicating strictly by email all this time, I sent her my phone number.

Thankfully, she called within just a few minutes. I got the room number, figuring I had blown 15 or 20 minutes of our 90 minute session. But Katy came through and we had another good time.

I had seen Katy early in my TER-era hobbying career. Back then, 3-1/2 years ago, I described her as a delightful little pixie. Thankfully, that hasn’t changed. But she has had to take some time off from the hobby. We spoke about that for a while, then got to the reason for my visit.

Non-VIPs, Katy is as beautiful and talented as she ever was. A rare find and a sweet, loveable lady with a happy-to-see-you smile, she is highly recommended.
