I frequent San Diego regularly for business, and I don’t always have the time, energy, or an excuse to sneak away. Had some free time today, so I browsed around looking to see who was available for FBSM. I came across Dala’s ad, recognized her name, and remembered reading her reviews from years ago. I caught up on recent reviews to refresh my memory of what to expect and then reached out to her to set up a time for a few hours ahead. Unfortunately, my experience with Dala was very negative and sets a record low in the many years I’ve been doing this.

Here’s a list of things that went wrong: she postponed the appointment 30 minutes when I was nearly there, she was still late even after postponing, she asked for the money once we got to the room, she took a very long time in the other room while I was laying face down waiting, she answered a call a few seconds into the massage, she kept texting throughout the massage to the point that I lost count, and more.

She would reach to grab more oil on the table, but detour to her phone and respond to texts before returning to me. I really wanted to say something, but she already took my money and I didn’t want the session to end, so I reluctantly had to keep my mouth shut and tolerate her nonsense. I really hope she doesn’t think that texting during a session is normal behavior. If it had happened once or twice, I could most likely overlook it, but she kept reaching for her phone without saying anything or apologizing. If it was an emergency or something that needed that much of her attention, she could’ve just canceled the session and given me my money back.

If you’re in disbelief, imagine how I felt while it was happening to me. I was shocked by how she had a complete lack of respect for my time and how she didn’t seem to care about providing a great experience. It seems that she cares more about scheduling future appointments than focusing on the one in front of her. If this is how she treats all of her clients, I’m extremely surprised that she’s still getting responses.

We met at the entrance and introduced ourselves. First time seeing her and she’s average in my opinion. Far from “once in a lifetime” or “model material” as some reviewers have rated. Eye of the beholder?

The general timeline went as follows: scheduled for x:00pm, she postponed to x:30pm, got to the massage room and I checked my phone after undressing at x:45pm, she didn’t come back for well over 10 minutes. It nearly got to the point where I was going to get up to check on her. She finally came in the room, but a few seconds into the massage she took a call and didn’t come back for 5 minutes. When she came back, she would text throughout the entire time I was on my front. When the session ended and I got to my car, it was 40 past the next hour, so all in all, I had about 30 minutes worth of massage even though I paid for an hour. What bothered me while we were finishing up was that she said she gave me extra time, as if she was expecting a tip. Yeah right! That might have been true if she didn’t use her phone, didn’t take long to get back to me in the massage room, and if we actually started on time.

Having a bad session really makes you appreciate the great ones…
