I often wondered if "short stay" hotel existed in this country. I have seen some in other countries that cater to our segment of the market. The hotels often offer covered garages so that you can park your car with privacy. The rooms often have themes such as the  Jungle room, party like a rock star room, the 007 secret agent room.  I know some hotels in vegas have the same theme rooms but they cost an arm and a leg.

As a elted question, do hotels accept pre-paid debit cards?

On the North Shore, there's a Candlelight on Rte 114 in Middleton (halfway between I-95 and I-495.

This place is a great little hide away 20 miles north of Boston. Heart shaped LOV-TUBS, King Beds, Waterbeds, Indoor Pool,and Lounge. Rooms have AC, TV, VCR, phone, refrigerator, VCR tapes can be rented in office. Full and half day rates are offered $95.00 & $65.00.

But the real jewel here is the eight cave rooms on the lower level. Each has it's own bathroom with shower, a platform bed, radio, clock, and full size Jacuzzis hot tub. Not the little in bath tubs but a four person hot tub. These rooms have no phones and are rented for two hours at $38.00 with tax. So if you need someplace to go and not be seen this place works great. They do limited the cave rooms to only two people per room.

Thee are several on the strech of Rte 99 in Malden.  Malden Motel, Town Line Inn, etc.  Most have what they call short term rates (normally 4-5 hours).  Town Line was $40 for the 5 hr excursion recently when I went.  You pay cash.  They give you a guest registration card to fill out.  In my opinion...you are crazy if you put your real name,address etc.. on the card.
