I saw a CSI episode not last Friday but a while back that fits the description. I was amazed by the writer's courage to portray BDSM in this light. I loved the fact the network aired it.Its way overdue.
The media has always focused on the deviant extreme end of the BDSM spectrum. Shock = ratings. Doms were always shown as Nazi practitioners of pain.
More people are involved in it than you would think but it has been the derranged few that get the attention.
Most the ones that do enjoy it as a consentual, trusting, exploration of themselves can't afford to discuss publicly because of the way its been portrayed. It implied that dominant women are lesbians and submissive men are homo's.
My friend met one here that introduced it to him. She was intelligent, self actualized, compassionate (beautifull inside and out)and ended up teaching him a great deal about himself. He found out that the psychological power of it and the physical sensation went together like peas and carrots.
A close friend of mine was curious, bought and recommends a video called Learning the Ropes (there are a series of them). It features a married couple(the wife is Ona Zee, really hot) that discuss and demonstrate how exhirating it can be. Just learn.
My friend just wishes that the extreme end of the spectrum (including but not limited to, showers of bodily fluids, catheterizations and anything having to do with animals and children)could be divorced from the BDSM family and given some other name.
I've heard that in the 1950's no one would admit that they masturbate. It was portrayed to done only by mental deffectives and could cause blindess.
We can only evolve as far as we are willing to let understanding break down the barriers of fear. Its a pity that it even has to be rethunk.

Did anyone catch the episode of CSI on CBS last Friday? One of case files had to do with a girl that worked in a BDSM house that was run by a Mistress Heather who was totally hot! The interesting part was the psychological discussion about why clients participate in the BDSM scene. It was presented in a fairly positive light. It made me re-think my viewpoint (in a good way) about giving a session a try…
