The Insidious Evil of the Credit Card Scam

My credit history in the 21st century is perfect. no lates, no missed payments, nothing but perfection all across the boards.

In June 2008, my credit rating was 727 and climbing.

In July 2008, my monthly revenue took a $5000 hit - early consequences of the still to happen meltdown of the economy.

This meant smaller credit card payments, and my credit limit went from 45% to 51%.

The rating services took this as a sign I was a bigger credit risk, and so they lowered my credit rating.

Which gave the credit card companies cause to decide I am a bigger risk, and they raised my APR from 8.2, 9.3, and 9.7 % respectively, to 17.99, 21.99 and 23.99% .

This then raised my minimum monthly payments, which lowered my disposable income ratio, which gave cause for the ratings services to lower my credit rating yet again.

Which now put me in a higher risk category, which gave cause for the Credit card companies to raise my APR to the limits usually associated with extreme high risk. 29.99,31.99, and 34.99% respectively.

Which lowered my credit rating even more, leading to my two largest credit card debtors to lower my credit ceiling, thereby putting me OVER the limit on one account, and taking me from 72% to 99+% of my debt ceiling on the other.

My credit rating as of March 2009 is 521.

But my credit PAYMENT history, is still perfect.

And it's all absolutely legal.

This is the insidious evil of the credit card company scam perpetuated on the American people by a corrupt Congress in thrall to Big Money interests.

What a Crock of Horse Shit.
