After a long trying day I arrived home to a surprise email from a lovely lady I met earlier this year..  It turned out to be exactly what I needed and inspired the following little ditty that maybe someone else will enjoy.  

This "tough" day too shall end
as the evening does begin.
As I lay myself down for the night
I wish only to hold you in my arms so tight.

Adrift I fly throughout the stars
Searching for Venus, Jupiter, and Mars!
All the while I search throughout space
Only to awaken to your beautiful face.

Another glorious sun rise reflects off the dew
As we begin to live the day anew.

What will it hold for you and for me?
Will it be trying too?
Or will it be joyous and true?
Yet another beautiful day for thee?
Or will it feel like I was hit by a tree?

It matters not the sway and the bend
as this day too must end  
before another can begin

In the end it is truly all good
now if I could only figure out what to do
with this damn morning wood
