Just reading that Playboy is changing their format and will discontinue showing the photos that made Playboy famous.
No teenage male ever didn't lust after the centerfold and many a young lady fantasized about wanting to be featured as her. Time to raise a glass and say thanks for the memories.Do they still feature the artwork of Gahan Wilson. He used to have a full page of color back in the day. Funny stuff.
Just wondering ... won't this change turn Playboy into Maxim
Personal Favorite
at least, that's what I told my Mom when she found them in my room.
Great literary work for any English major....lol.
I have fond memories of sneaking a look a my Dad's copies of the magazine before engaging in the sin of self stimulation.
I remember when my Dad actually encouraged us (myself and my younger sisters) to read the the serialization of "All the President's Men" before it came out as a book (the Watergate expose for those too young to remember). It was an interesting read, and a thrill to actually be allowed to read a porn magazine. I am not sure what my sisters made of the photos, but I think that the oldest was interested in more than the articles.
I kind of liked the more tasteful presentation of the young women than in other porn. However, it has been more than a decade since I bought a copy and that was actually for an article.
Still, I think it is going to be hard for Playboy to compete with the New Yorker and The Atlantic on copy alone
Next Penthouse is going to phase out pee-ctorials and full penetration...WAIT...
Booo.
