am I being paranoid?

ok, ever since e.com was raided, I've been extremely cautious about that site.

In an earlier post, I mentioned the idea of taking a provider to lunch to kind of test the waters. She was on e.com and p411 but no reviews. I finally got a reply and I found her lunch rate was just a little to high, considering other providers rates that I've spoke to. I told her I would just wait until she's well reviewed.

And Voila! Today I go to e.com and there's the same person, new photo, and a ever so slight change in her name. and guess what? LOTS of reviews. The "old" profile is now gone.

I dunno. maybe i'm just being paranoid. I understand some providers have multiple profiles, I've seen that before, but they both show up. If one would have a successful profile with lots of good reviews, why start over?

I thought there was something fishy about the reviews on that site even before it was raided (and I didn't know it was, BTW). How does a provider get lots of positive reviews on that site but not a single review here one way or the other?

I agree that this sounds like a set up, but in response to the posting below, it is possible because some boards are more popular and used more depending on your geographical location.  E.com was more widely used in my area of the world than TER by far.

A lot of the gentlemen who are VIPs on e.com, basically stay to e.com, and that's where they write their reviews at. I had over 60 reviews on e.com over the course of 5 years(before the raid)... but only 4 pages here in the same amount of time. Also, like was stated. TER tracks IP addresses, and only allows 1 review per person. On e.com, if someone sees you 3 times, they can write you 3 separate reviews. There are also girls who create e.com profiles, and write themselves reviews... which you can usually pick out pretty fast, as you can go to the reviewers history, and see who else they have reviewed... if it's an extensive list of well-known ladies, the review is probably legit... if she's the only 1 he has ever reviewed, it could be suspect.

Some sites do not have the checks against false reviews that TER does.  Also e.com allows repeat reviews by the same reviewer.  With the simple check list review program...  not enough information.
Does this provider have reviews of TER or another site?  Wait until she has reviews here.

there are TER reviews.  The only exception I'd make would be if there is a way to contact the other reviewer to verify what you read and to ask questions.

A bunch of reviews almost overnight!?  Just does not seem real.

I'm chatting with person via email, and not on e.com. She said that was an "old profile" that she resurrected. I said lets meet, and responds with "send that to me in a message on e.com"

What?

At the same time I'm chatting with a provider who has appeared after a two year hiatus. She has reviews here, but they are two years old. E.com shows when a person is last visited, yet i'm receiving messages from this person at times AFTER her last visit.

I contacted her via email and she asked for references. I explained that they were on e.com, TER, and gave her my datecheck ID. That has been sufficient for every provider so far.

She replies with this:
"I need your last name, the names, websites and phone numbers of the providers you've been with, the dates you were with them, and you need to send it to me on e.com"!!!!!

This kind of freaked me out, because she's basically asking me to submit a statement. I checked with one of my providers and even she said that's a little too much, considering all that information is already available.

Move on already, find an escort on TER, look at the new reviews section, so you'll know the lady has current reviews.

Like others have said (but I'll say it a little more politely than some), this has nothing but trouble written all over it. In this game, I don't think you can be *too* paranoid, particularly with the situation you describe, so I'd say write off both this girl AND e.com and stick with girls here and on D-C (and P411, if you have it). I can almost guarantee you this: if you persist on sticking with this girl, knowing that she's essentially trying to get you to incriminate yourself and others, you're going to end up in a world of hurt.

E.com offices raided not long ago.  Site went down & has had changes since going back up.  Why would it be required to send through E.com??  All she needs is the information & she can verify.  I don't blindly trust E.com anymore.

These restrictions on communication method are too wierd.  I'd take a pass.

That's what I was saying. Sounds to me like LE, or a LE-flipped provider, trying to entice the OP into incriminating himself and others. If it were me, I'd make like Forrest Gump and run like hell.

This all went down on the same day. More of a heads up for other folks who may be using e.com and trusting well reviewed folks. I haven't replied to any of these "ladies".

In fact, I'd say that you aren't being paranoid enough.  Put your little head away and start using the one with the brain.
