In some places if you don't drink and or do pros you cant get very far with the boss thus slow or no promotion. They also rent fancy cars and get to drive them around. Very fun.
So I'm googling for more details about the "VW scandal" and I hit on this one from 2005:

Sheesh ... new cars these days don't even come with a full sized spare, just those cheap donut tires. I think a prostitute and Viagra would spur sales better than any mileage improvement.
