Could the over 60 board get a better position under the General Boards

So many times when I suggest a visit to the over 60 Board they ask "were the heck is that". I think the board has earned a better spot since the traffic to it is busier and could double if newbie older gentlemen found us right away. Smaller monitor screens miss us all together.

The over 60 board would be very happy being 4th or 5th in line but last place leaves us lost in no mans land.

But I guess it doesn't hurt to suggest it again. Maybe eventually they will listen. However, 4th or 5th spot? I think not! The top five boards should stay where they are. Seventh spit would be good. Swap it out with "book." No reason for that board to be so high. In fact, IMO, no reason for that board at all!

The board has picked up and earned a better position. Many more newbies and older gentlemen would join in if they knew the board was available. Whenever I suggest for someone to join in they want to know where it is.

I agree if nothing else swap it out with "book".

In fact if you notice on your recent referral to the over 60 board onthe GD board thread about viagra, I was the one who told the poster how to find the board.

I just didn't think the top 5 should change. But yes, moving up from last position would be nice, or do something with the whole screen, so it shows up even on small monitors. :)

When you open the drop-down menu, you can't see the link to it?  I have no problem where it is, I see the whole list.  Do some of you have such a small monitor that the list is cut off? I'm used to it where it is.  I agree, it has become a very well-used board, so a lot of folks must be finding it despite it being at the bottom of the list.

I agree with mrfisher, the bottom is good, as in cowgirl or reverse cowgirl.....

I use only laptops.... And I can't see the bottom without manuvering the page slightly up an inch to capture both the tabs at the top and the bottom boards on General (60 and Over), Regional (New England -- where I'm from), and Regional Ads (New England). New England boards are key for me, and it always takes manuvering my page slightly to see them and open them.

If TER moved the tabs up on the page to the top.... and put the Users Online, New Reviews, and Total Reviews data elsewhere (those line items are not of interest to me), I'd welcome it.

I have a 19 inch flat panel monitor for space saving reasons and i'm to damn cheap to replace something that works which also needs to be fiddled with to find the over 60 board. I am sure i'm not alone and as busy as the board is it could be a lot busier if people knew we were there. I am always inviting folks who have never heard of the board and when looking they still don't find it. I have to go back and tell them what to do since their screen is small like mine.

More people are using laptops and tend to get the smaller ones.

and on some monitors it is actually off the page. So depending on their screen resolution, some peope don't see it. Also, I'm sure some people are just lazy and don't look down that far.  Oh and I'm with you and Fisher. The bottom is always good (in that sense). :)

I didn't know it existed, until i made some adjustments to my screen.
So, yes, for some, it's not visible.

I have a 22" monitor so it's no prob for me, but even on my laptop I can see the bottom of the list.  I guess it's just a matter of convenience, or knowing it's there.  If you know it's there, scrolling down should not be that big of a deal, you probly have do a lot of down-scrolling anyway on many sites.   If you don't know where it is, once you look for it, you know.  The only drop-down menu that it would be on is the TER General Boards one anyway.  I just didn't realize it was such a problem for so many people, sorry.
