of moderated members were lurkers and newbies.  The RE-moderated ones were a small minority.

The change, IMHO, was made to open access to those who had never participated enough to become unmoderated to begin with.  Staff referred to one main reason for non-participation of the lurkers as being the frustration of waiting for the post to appear, which could not happen until the thread had passed by or become stale.

Hopefully that access has now been opened, and with the ability to be re-unmoderated, the historically active posters don't have an appreciable change anymore except with the edit function.  So, proofreading is now the only real drawback of system.

.....the post is up for 4 hrs, or so, a good thread is building.  Then wham...gone.

Please explain the problem..........................................this kind of action here was part of what I was addressing there.

Somebody is on a Power Trip.

Apparently it was trashed!!  Guess she doesn't get a chance!

....is taking posts down here and not allowing others to go up.

So, what's the point in having him in the Mod position???

IMHO, this current attitude of someone at TER is going to cost some business!

Simply because the discussion boards are only but a small fraction of what oils the machine that is TER.

It is 95% driven by REVIEWS. Without reviews, this is nothing more than another discussion board of which there are many in net land.

I will say however for some people who do enjoy the boards (again a very small percentage of members)it is becoming less and less fun to participate.

Point of contention is the 15 minute moderation for all members. Why? Who knows, there has never been a logical explanation. Things were just fine before the installation of that. Granted some posts go up in 5 minutes, but then some do not hit the screen for 2 hours. That policy is like throwing cold water on everyone at a hot card game. It sure ruins the mood.:P

worlds.  Before, the moderated had to wait for the Mod to log on and approve, now it is done much quicker on average.  The Unmoderated are no longer affected, except for edits.

Unmoderation? Not sure I understand the definition of that now. People were generally moderated for a reason. Now, if they had to wait for a mod to log on to get approval, that was the price they paid for being moderated. What ever happened to apologizing to the moderator for the infraction and request being unmoderated. I think most mods always granted that sort of request. But, I do buy into the fact this is helping the moderated.

But that does not answer my original question. Why are the people that are NOT moderated being punished by instituting this policy to help the moderated? I must be really missing something here, but then again nothing new there either.

I am on this morning, made a couple posts and low and behold they were instantly posted to the threads just like before.

Thanks for the information, yet it seems the admin Gods were listening from above. haha  Or, maybe I am just being teased. :D

Your original post went up because you're unmoderated. When the mod saw it later and realized it broke a posting rule, he must have pulled it.

I didn't check back to see what was happening before it got pulled, but I was probably getting my ass kicked.  (grin)
