Did she say SHARE THE WEALTH? ;-)  LMAO

"For her part, Sarah Palin, who has lately taken to calling Obama “Barack the Wealth Spreader,” seems to be something of a suspect character herself. She is, at the very least, a fellow-traveller of what might be called socialism with an Alaskan face. The state that she governs has no income or sales tax. Instead, it imposes huge levies on the oil companies that lease its oil fields. The proceeds finance the government’s activities and enable it to issue a four-figure annual check to every man, woman, and child in the state. One of the reasons Palin has been a popular governor is that she added an extra twelve hundred dollars to this year’s check, bringing the per-person total to $3,269.

Alaska has a lot of resources, which belong to the people of Alaska.  When they share the wealth of the Alaska, they are sharing what they al already "own."  This would be as if you and I own a gold mine, and we share the profits from our common property.

This is a little different from I work, I get paid, and then you decide to share my property.

In short, sharing the wealth of the state is not the same as sharing the wealth of the individual.

The State owns the land & the oil companies pay for leases & exploration rights.

Aside from the State ownership issue, the "socialist" aspect is the handout that every Alaskan gets. Regardless of whether or not they pay taxes.

You just can't stand it that BO got cuaght finally telling the truth. There are any number of like situations in the mining industry where a family or group of folks hold mining claims that "sell" the use of those leases to a mining concern and then all share in the proceeds. Same as a group that buy stocks and share that profit....called a mutual funds, ever heard of it? What BO is saying is that I can work my ass off until I mbecome very successful. At that point he is going to take the monehy I earned and give it to someone who chose not to work as hard. To each based on their need......From each based on their ability. THAT is socialism, marxism and eventually communisism. Twist however youw ant o make it ok in your mind....but you are being a self-deceived fool if you don't recognize "spreading the wealth" for what it is.

reducing taxes for the middle class is not socialistic.  Handouts (ala Alaska style) is socialistic.

Okay. In Alaska, the state owns the part of the state that people haven't bought.  Wow. Big deal. The state owns state land.  

Little different from state ownership and control of what had been private sector.  I know these distinctions are subtle.

that the Oil Companies drill on is State Land and not Federal Land and why they pay the state the money and not the Federal Government.

Fundamentally, I want my share...like lower gas at the pump...why should those yahoos in Alaska get a break and not the lower 48?

Wait a second here, I just figured something out...As I've been told, even though corporations have taxes levied on them, they do not pay them...they add the tax into the cost of goods sold and then pass the tax on to the consumer...you and me.

So...I know I'm a little slow here...but let's see...the Oil Companies pay a levy on the crude or refined petrol that I use...I pay the increase on the pass through and then the State of Alaska divvies the proceeds out to those mutha fucking secessionists who get away with paying no State Income or Sales Tax???...Now...if that ain't a redistribution of wealth I don't know what the fuck is.

You miss the main point the money  comes from big oil using state resources not other    taxpayers .

Yahoos in Alaska come directly from schmucks like you and me when we fill'er up at the pump.  Where else does it come from?  Oh you must think that Big Oil are really philanthropists at heart...give me a break.

Please reread my treatise on Palin based State Organized Wealth Redistribution...
