If a qualified* Moderator can't be appointed to run that board soon, it's utterly pointless to keep it up and running IMO.
*I did NOT mean to imply in any way that the former Mod of that board was even remotely qualified.

That board has a large compendium of helpful information that can be accessed still via the search function.
I ofter refer people to it.
I hope TER is looking for a new Love Goddess to take over who can match the fine performance of the last LG.

But please never allow the Love Goddess to come back as a moderator over that or any other board. Losing her as a moderator was one of the best things to happen to this site in the year and a bit I was here. I know I am not alone in my feelings on this. She was one of the most vindictive people I have dealt with on TER.
There are endless topics worth searching on the EH board. What's the point in closing it down. It appears that TER is trying to find a new mod but it's not really a pure "moderator's" job in the strictest sense.
As far as LG goes, it seems to me the only folks who have a problem with her are those that may have had a run-in with her because she insisted on keeping her board focused and didn't allow people to try and turn it into the free-for-all that exists on most of the other boards. She did a fine job of making that board a place to get useful advice and information from. The EH board exists for a different reason than the other boards. I disagreed with LG and other posters quite often on the EH board but I never had am issue with moderation.
In fact every time I disagreed with her she moderated me. To make things worse she would not talk to you about why she moderated you. I have been moderated by others and I have no issue with them as they would talk to me, but not that lady she was to good to explain why she moderated me when I didn't even post on her board anymore.
She was often very dismissive of seeking help and very critical of them. She berated one poor guy for having back hair and not spending hundreds of dollars to get it removed.
Not one have I every used profanity on her board, (she has) attack anther member, (she has), or Been sort of respectful on her board (again, she has). I had to get outside help to even get her to tell me why she moderated me. Hell she moderated me for disagreeing with her on the GD board about a political issue of funding off planned parent hood. Something that had no business on the GD board in the first place and no I did not use profanity or attack her on that post ether.
My posts on that thread are live in the P&R board that got me moderated if you care to see why she was so well disliked. Please note most of that was after my moderation and after the thread was moved.

She was hateful & nasty. I will say no more because I've been asked not to badmouth her. I will honor that.
The board should be closed however if no super qualified Mod for that board can be found soon. I volunteered to Moderate it, but was rebuffed.
But I have to give her her due.
She was well informed and often brilliant in her advice.

Gifted or not, a disrespectful attitude toward you because you didn't agree with her wasn't cool. (I learned that on the P&R board when I went after a poster whom I find particularly disturbing. Now I try to keep to the post; I try to disagree w/o being disagreeable.)
I liked the way LG ran her particular board. I'm not going to get into a debate with you about the Erotic Highway board but I would agree that being moderated by her because of something you posted on any other board is out of line. I don't know what TER's policy s but it seems to me that only the posted moderator of a particular board should be allowed to moderate the people posting on that board. As far as I'm concerned any moderator posting on the boards is no better than any of us. if they want to participate in the discussion they need to accept differing opinions just as the rest of us do.
