Female Condoms for LG

I've now been with a couple of women who have selected to use female condoms instead of a regular male condom. Leaving aside the fact that it can a while to insert properly (which is just a minor incovenience) I've found that it can be difficult to switch sexual positions if this entails withdrawing.  Sometimes it seems that the female condom begins to dislodge, for example in moving from the woman on top to the man on top. Having to stop to make sure it's still properly secured and so forth creates a loss of momentum and makes what's happening seem almost overly mechanical. Do you have any tips LG on how make for a better overall sexual experience when using a female condom.  I personally like the feel much better than a male condom, but I am bothered by their lack of flexibility.  One additional question, assuming the female condom has been dislodged or removed is it possible to ejaculate into this condom more than once (something which one would never do with a male condom)?  Thanks so much for your advice.

Very useful questions, Centinel,

Those female condoms are something like cervical caps - it takes some skill to fit it properly, even though the vagina can accommodate all sorts of objects going in and out.

As for positions and spontaneity...well, that's the limitation of this condom, for SOME couples. Once it feels like it's coming out, then yes, you have to stop and make sure it's still in there. So the best advice I can offer is to concentrate on making foreplay as creative as possible and then go for the full enchilada at the very end. It is also possible to change positions without taking out the penis. You'll need to be a little flexible and actually use your upper body to LIFT the lady, but if she hangs on to you with her legs, it can be done. If you're in missionary, you can stick together and roll over. Of course, if it's doggie we're talking about, then yes, there might be some difficulty in switching.

Do NOT ejaculate more than once in the female condom. Like condoms for penises, they are not to be reused, even though the WHO did some research on reuse in developing countries where price and supply were issues. The other issue is that the FDA clearly has stated that for best protection against pregnancy, the male condom is superior in its protective application.

I guess nothing's perfect,

LG--Thank you for the useful tips on the ordering of positions and for the confirmation that they are not reusable (drats, but I suspected as much).  Like a diaphram, they tend to be a bit on the messy side when pulled out because they're holding all the ejaculate.  Is there an etiquette involved for removing it?  What I mean is, should I remove it for her or should I just assume that she'll do it herself?  I have enjoyed how the feel condoms more than I enjoy the regular condom, it may just take some getting used to for both parties.  Thanks again.

I have met a few men (usually older and married)who have psyched themselves out so much over their aversion to condoms that pull one out of your purse and the mere sight of it results in them "withering away."  In those moments, a female condom may be their only salvation because it doesn't have the same mind/body associations- you don't have to physically put it ON them. hell, you can have them look at the ceiling while you put it in if you need to. ha. I think of one particular person with whom, after many sessions, the female condom finally allowed us to consummate the deal!

ps. unfortunately, from a female perspective, they feel a little like having a zip-lock baggy and two gummy bracelets up your cootch.  oh well.
