Hey all,
So I had a trip to the area planned a bit back, but due to some medical issues involving a family member, my plans were delayed. I'm now re-planning my visit and wanted to reach out again and ask for some suggestions from you all. Any and all recommendations are very much appreciated.  Here's my original query...

I'll be making a pit stop in Wasau, WI on my way back to Chicago for a day or two and was wondering if locals wouldn't mind sharing  any  "must see" sites or "gotta eat there " restaurants. Never been to the area so I greatly appreciate any and all recommendations. Also interested in nice, not nosey, hotels & areas to stay.
