90% of reviews i read mention DATY and uncovered BJ. Quick google search revealed that you can get pretty much any std with unprotected oral sex. Am I missing something? Why use cover at all then? (I'm sure the girl is on the pill anyway just in case) I'm thinking about taking a plunge into a new hobby so I would really appreciate any comments.

In regards to STD's via oral sex, while the answer is technically yes, you can transmit or receive STD's via such acts, the rate of transmission is not nearly as high as what you see with vaginal or anal intercourse. For example, giving a blowjob or daty is considered a low risk activity (please understand this does not mean no risk) for HIV. Why do you think the lesbian population was not hit nearly as hard with HIV as the gay male population?

Herpes, however, pretty much shares an equal risk of transmission regardless of whether it's oral or intercourse, from my understanding.

Of course, any lessened risk for giving oral is completely thrown out the window if you've brushed your teeth in the past half hour or so, since the bristles create tiny cuts or abrasions in your gums that can allow diseases access to your body.

Now, for the reality check portion of this response: The way you phrase this post sounds like "Well, I'm going to get an STD anyway, so why not enjoy it by doing the whole thing bareback?" Seriously dude, do you care so little about your health or the health of any future girls you may wish to see? This kind of lack of concern or responsibility for one's health and how it may affect other members of this community is the only aspect about escorting that truly scares me.

I am just getting started. I was with a provider last week who provided me with uncovered oral play.  I questioned her about it just as I was receiving. Her comment was I am clean.  I must admit it felt really good.  But I am married so I will cover next time with provider.  If you dont have a SO some quys don't worry about it.
I think its a mistake if you have someone to go home to.....

Only masturbation is 100% safe. If you feel DATY or uncovered BJ are too risky, you shouldn't do them.  Similar to what you've done, many of us have researched the topic and concluded that the risk from DATY and BBBJ are very low. But what seems very low to us, may seem too high to you.

We can cite stats all day long but at the end of the day, each individual has to make a choice based on his/her comfort level.

There is some level of risk in any unprotected sexual activity.  The risk of most STD's is higher with penetrative sex than it is with oral.  If it wasn't believe me these ladies would not be offering it.

The only true safe sex is whacking off to internet porn alone in your room.  Don't do anything that you are not comfortable with however.  If you want CBJ and want to skip DATY any lady will be happy to oblige.

how often do you get tested?  If you find out you have something
what are your procedures following? do you get the word to your clients or just get clean and move on?

You don't expect the truth do you? No lady is ever going to come on here and say she has contracted something let alone admit she wouldn't tell her clients. If you choose to partake in DATY and BBBJ and you get something, well then it's your deal and no-one elses. That's the decision only you can make and deal with the consequences if any. Actually according to people on this board hardly anyone gets anything...or anything they will talk publically about and this is both hobbyist and ASP.

Some things are worth dying for,,,,honor, country,
and DATY!....IMHO.

If you do DATY do not lay on a motel bed spread. I tell the girl  to take a spread off before I give her money .Scabies son .
If she does not comply I will leave without giving her a cent :)

There are some providers who will have their testing results out in the open so you can see them. Others will tell you they get tested on a regular basis, every 3 months or every month. If you check on the newbie board and the general board you will find that providers are very careful with safesex practices and they get tested on a regular basis. Some will be very angry/upset that you would ask them such a question.

Trustme if word got out they had something people would know faster than the speed of light. The providers business would go to zero.

You will have a few people that will tell you that if you don't want to catch anything don't hobby.

Before you are going to ask. Make sure that you get test and be ready to show your results if asked. I suggest that you go to a place that specializes in testing for all the major stds (herpes, HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, hepatitis). You also will want to get a inspection for genital warts. When I hobby hard I get tested every 3 months. When I don't hobby that much I get tested 1 time a year. I recommend that you pay out of pocket for testing, unless you don't mind your insurance company pick up the costs.

Don't forget you could catch infections from any body that you deep french with. Some examples are the common cold, scabies, mononucleosis and TB just to name a few.

A good way to get tested for free is to sign up for term life insurance (they will test for everything). They will give you and pamphlet on hiv/aids before they draw the blood. They will let you know if you have something.

I recommend that you picked a well reviewed high scored provider.

Be careful some std's can come from bbbj without the provider even knowing she has anything.  Ngu 25% of the time has no known cause and can be a life long ailment.  The thought is some oral flora can irritate the urethra and may not respond to therapy/antibiotics and can not be tested for.  Likewise a small portion(10%) of the population are lacking a HLA factor which if exposed to chlamydia can lead to an autoimmune disease.  The mouth can contain fungi, bacteria, viruses(adeno, coksackie or even HSV)and may live in her mouth forever.  Mouthwash won't work for her....the only possible protection is a condom or abstinence.  Thanks

I beg to differ with some of these comments.  I was once called by a provider who said that another client claimed to have contracted chlamydia from her -- she was pretty sure he was wrong, but she was contacting me to allow me to take precautions, pending the results of the test she got.  Turned out the other client was barking up the wrong tree -- she did not have the bug and so, of course, neither did I.

Did that call from her put me off?  Hell no!  I found it very reassuring that a provider would be that responsible and take care of former clients when there was even a question of an infections, and a dubious question at that.  It gave me a lot of respect for her, as well as confidence in her.  I would just hope other providers would be equally responsible.

BTW, clients have the same responsibility to providers.
