Let's play a morbid but interesting game. I'll write a similar scenario for the gents and for the ladies. Respond if you'd like with an alias. I'll respond later with my answer so as not to influence others now.
Gents: let's say you're a 'happily' married hobbyist with a good job, house, family etc. You decide to hit it with a (Backpage) provider at her incall where there's no ID check and of course you used your hobby/monger phone. You're in the middle of some heated cowgirl when all of a sudden she stops and falls on you in full cardiac arrest. Holy shit! What are you gonna do? You know the humane thing to do is call 911 and begin CPR until the ambulance arrives. But then there will be a police report, maybe an arrest once prostitution becomes evident. Then you're life is fucked. And you don't know her. Maybe she's some damn coke-head and this shit is her fault. Why should your life be sent down the shitter for that? You can get dressed quick and run. Maybe call 911 from her phone or the room phone so you're not a complete shit. What are you gonna do?
Ladies: you're an experienced provider and this is your business and your life. You've never had a run-in with LE and you don't intend to. You're meeting a new guy for the 1st time, at his hotel room. He's a mid-50's guy who says he's in good health and confides in you that no one in his life knows he does this. He does everything anonymously - hobby phone, email, etc. And in the midst of some heavy mish he turns blue and collapses on you in complete arrest. Similar to above. What are you gonna do?
Don't be scared. Respond honestly, and use an alias if you want.
It's one of my worst fears!
Given that the hotel room is likely to be in my name, I will call the police and just say we're having an affair. The police can't prove otherwise because, well, the only other person who could testify against me, is dead.
And then I will never work in that city again, as I'm sure the cops won't believe me.
Someone dying abruptly is not the tough issue. I hate to sound callous, but once someone is dead, they're dead. The opportunity to affect someone's life in a most basic way happens before that. The one that strains a person's moral compass is a stroke, convulsions, seizure, etc.
For those who have never thought it through, it's a sobering conversation worth having with yourself. Call 911? Answer the questions? See the other person safely to the ER? Look to contact next of kin in case tough medical decisions need to be made urgently? And don't think it can't happen to you guys: one lady was 46 when it happened to me, the other in her young 30s. I always thought if it happened I would be the one who needed attention.
I would hope the answers would be "Of course!" across the board, but I wonder. DO the people here value another's life enough to do so? Been there, done that--twice. One was a very easy decision, one was much tougher. Neither one died, both were serious medical situations.
The first lady is my ATF and she was spending the night. 2 AM she woke me as she was having a major stroke. I never thought twice given how well I knew her and how much I cared for her as a friend-- I called for an ambulance and rode with her to the nearest ER. A very, very scary evening ensued. The docs were not sure if she was going to survive and needed NoK decisions so I got to rummage around her purse to find contact info for her parents. Great first contact with them, "Hi, you don't know me but it's 4 AM and I'm at the ER with your daughter...." Then there was the Q&A with the cops that had responded along with the ambulance. That part was much easier since I could easily pass as a BF she was spending the night with--pretty much what it was. To be honest, the cops did not care at all about the sex--never asked if it was personal or pay for play. Once they were satisfied there was no foul play or drugs involved they completely lost interest and let the paramedics take care of things.
The second one was a lady I knew a little, but nowhere near as well. Sitting in the hotel room between rounds she had a seizure. Also very scary but having "rehearsed" it once a year before I did the same thing, calling 911 and going to the ER with her. It was much earlier in the evening, no NoK calls since she had an insurance card and turned out to be serious but not life threatening. Again the police questions were completely focused on drugs and violence issues, not caring about prostitution questions.
I like to think that if this one had happened first I would still have done the right thing, but we never actually know what we will do in hypothetical situations.
Wow.
What is NoK?
What is NoK?
be way worse!LOL i actually just watched on of those csi shows and they had the same plot.I Know for sure I would try and help them.

You call an ambulance and immediately start providing CPR. As soon as the ambulance shows and take over you slip out the back Jack, make a new plan Stan, you don't need to be coy Roy, you just get yourself free!!! I don't hobby at home so if I have to give a BS statement I would and then walk.
There are cameras everywhere. LE will examine those tapes like you won't believe. They'll trace you to your car, etc.
Then they'll want to know why you ran, it will not be any fun.
Stay and say the least possible. LE doesn't have to know why you were there. Just say that you two were engaged in having sex and that is all. Usually non-vice cops don't give a rat's ass about prostitution, that's someone else's dept., unless they can somehow hang it around your neck. Don't stick you're neck out.
Just dummy up and say that other than your name and address and the fact that you were engaged in sex that you will not be answering any more questions.
And of course, do the humane thing and do all you can to help the poor gal survive.
(still not a lawyer)
She is in trouble and you have a responsibility as a decent person to help her. You don't have to tell the 1st responders anything ..... Tell them "the circumstances around how I know this woman are personal and I want to leave it at that"! Leave with respect and dignity as soon as you can after that.
If you just bolt, .......... you are NOT a decent person and I wouldn't want to know you.
This is how Rocky went out.
It's a good way to go.
After you dial 911, please put my shoes on the right feet.
... to a USAF General (Four Stars) in a hotel with two providers. I don't know how much, if any, CPR etc the providers attempted but their 'manager' called his Aide and told him to come get his dead (expletive deleted) General.
The obituary said he died in his office. Or so the story goes.

Good answers. Sounds like most are humanitarians but would 'slip out the back Jack'. But hold the phone. The gent with real life experience confirmed what is likely to happen regarding LE. You make that frantic call to 911 and they're going to think this might be a crime of passion with possible homicide. LE will accompany the paramedics and will ask questions and take down ID information.
My answer: well I'd never be in an anonymous situation since all my providers are rs2k or p411 so if I ran I would get caught. Best to stay and try and save a life and hope for the best regarding potential discovery outcomes. Call 911, throw on shorts, hide the envelope, begin CPR and come up with a plausible story - met her on the Internet for discreet legal sex or something.
What if it were a completely anonymous situation though? I'd like to think I would do the humanitarian thing but it is highly possible I would have serious reservations right then. On the other hand there're eyes everywhere with security cameras and such. A public arrest or being taken into custody for questioning at your home or workplace would be more disastrous than staying and letting the chips fall where they may, IMHO.
It's a dumb question, because ethically, there are no choices. When it comes down to life or death, the choice has been made for you. Otherwise, you are not fit to be a member of our species.
my guys face this delimna - they are not sure if they need to call 911 or just see what happens to me during that minute or so of craziness! Most wait it out to see if I come back from the other world I go into - I have scared the hell out of more than a few! Now, if I think about it, I tell them how intense they are so they don't get worried and can just enjoy - lol.
As far as if something really did happen to the guy - I would do all that I could to help without any regard to me getting in trouble. The trouble I would get into would be minor compared to the guilt that I would have to carry for the rest of my life knowing that I did nothing to help.
LOL, I had a client give me a heads up once that when he came, it was going to be very intense, but don't worry, he was OK. I was glad he did, as otherwise I would have thought he went into a full out seizure! Even though I know exactly what to do should someone have a seizure, it's still scary(ex-husband was an epileptic & had to get him through a ton of them).
But, if a gentlemen were to have a heart attack, or any other medical emergency, I would definitely call 911, perform CPR while waiting for the paramedics & make sure he was OK. I don't see prostitution ever even being brought into the picture... people have affairs all the time, or he could be a boyfriend. I've had to call 911 for people in my personal life, & if the police show up before the EMTs, they aren't worried about asking questions, they will start performing CPR until the EMTs show up, & I've never been questioned in a situation like this. They usually leave after the paramedics arrive.
Anyone who would leave, have absolutely NO morals whatsoever & karma is a bit**.

I would hope CPR would include an aspirin , for heart attack or stroke ..........I had a stroke ,did the research of what was the best first response............
The little death is translation from the French "la petite mort", a popular reference for a sexual orgasm. The term has been broadly expanded to include specific instances of blacking out after orgasm and other supposed spiritual releases that come with orgasm.
Many times I have thought about posting this question? For me, I am almost positive I would do as Old Traveler did. Not only calling 911 and doing CPR, but staying with her until the hospital, etc. Of course until it happens, no one knows. But my thoughts were always the other way. I would more likely be the one suffereing cardiac arrest or stroke. I am older and not in the best physical shape, and in a room doing physical things with 20 somethings. I always wonder what they would do if something happened to me. I have thought of asking that question here in general, and also to some of my providers in person. "What would you do if I dropped dead on you?" Of course just the question might scare the crap out of them. But it is definitely a possibility. It happens on police shows all the time (As Lilly mentioned) I am sure it happens in real life.
I’m with a man not just as a business, but also as a friend, (be it short/term) we are sharing very intimate moments and I could not bring myself to leave during a crisis or time of need. Just as if a stranger was in need on the street, I would without question help! I would hope with my rose colored glasses on that if the shoe was on the other foot, so to speak my life would be saved and or help would arrive to notify NOK..
Peace,
Lexi

I didn't write a review about it cuz, well, I guess technically I couldn't. And besides, it might've looked bad in my future endeavors of meeting nice, quality ladies. But the thought keeps haunting me, and I'm coming out with it here...
Met this cool lady, on here, and after many chats decided we should get together when I go visit her city. Everything was great at her incall. Had a few drinks and some dinner. Then went up to the room for dessert.
We got nekkid and started in with some heavy shit. Crazy, off the wall crap. It was a lot of fun, until she started acting funny. Said she was getting dizzy and wanted some water. I went to the sink to get her some and when I came back she was just laying there, eyes wide open but couldn't speak. I freaked out, got dressed, then as calmly as I could walked down the hall, into the elevator, and went to the bar in a hotel next door and called the EMTs for her.
Least I could do considering the circumstances. I got drunk, called a cab, and went back to my hotel. When I got there there was a message on my phone telling me thanks for calling the paramedics for her and she understood why I left.
She was wondering why, when they asked me for my name, I called myself Phil Gambler though....
Why didn't you call from her room . Don't you know seconds count in many medical situations ?
Are you stupid or a pussy ?
Did she pass out from you choking her ?
Damn Moron !

You see.....an MP post is sort like a Quentin Tarantino movie.....even he is exactly sure where it is going to go until it's done.....but you know it will be entertaining.
Anytime he signs off with a Board Mod you know he is yanking your (and everyone elses) chain.
Did I about cover it Mikey???
You truly are a 'Niceguy', and I can see why the ladies dig you so much!...
Oh. And that other 'thing', too, lol!...
But there was a few other clues in there as well. I say 'nekkid' instead of 'naked' when I'm joking around. Of course the 'winky' emoticon at the end. And most importantly, being 'moderated indefinitely', well, does anyone REALLY think LP or Gambler would let this go thru if I did such a thing and would implicate them?
I don't think so!...

MP has a twisted sense of humor, sometimes it's drier than the desert sands of New Mexico, or a martini with no vermouth, or a BP girl on client #11, or your scalp... and so on.
He just might pull you leg (not your baby leg, just one of the other two)
The girl was never in danger, she was just sleeping of the rufie, there were no EMTs. So chill.
How was that, bro???
HalfHour
Wish I came up with the ruffie part, though.
I haven't drank at all yet today, maybe that's the problem...
Single and doesn't give a flying fuck that everyone knows he hangs out with and fucks sex providers, so he has no reason to run and hide.
You call 911. Then you call your attorney. You do not have to give a statement to anybody, especially the police. There will be no arrest, or any way of proving prostitution, the chick is in cardiac arrest, she ain't talking, so unless you're a complete fucking moron, you are not going to jail. For that matter, the EMT's will probably arrive well ahead of the cops, so just step out when they show up.
And how is the fact that she is a Backpage provider relevant? Are you suggesting that their lives are somehow worth less than a more expensive whore, or simply baiting others into making that assertion.
For all first responders know I could just his gal on the side. I guess we have it the easiest in this scenario.
.....visiting with. I know my gentleman's real name, place of employment, etc. Number one, I am going to call 911. Number two, we are all allowed to have trysts/affairs, so why would prostitution enter into the equation. I would just tell 911 I was with my lover.
Also, whether you use a burn phone, or not, you should put in an ICE contact, just in case something should happen. Life is too precious.
Hugs and Kisses
But I think there's one or two ladies here that would know if for some reason they needed medical attention, I'd call the EMTs, and after about 30 seconds I'd pick her up, get in the elevator down to the lobby, carry her thru the lobby, and if the paths didn't cross with the professionals, we'd be in a vehicle if I had to carjack it.
And that ain't no shit. I don't give a flying fuck who knows what I do and who I'm with.
She needs attention, she's gonna get it.
Do the hobbyists have your real full name, etc.? The op asked the question to both sides. So if you were the one going into cardiac arrest, and the hobbyist had to take care of you, do they have your information and ICE? Just wondering. I know some providers do share that information with hobbyists, but usually only after several meetings and a certain comfort level, but it is definitely not common, in first meetings and most of the time not smart to share your info. I guess you could have your real id and medical card in your purse where he could find it but only in a worst case scenario like this.
...in an answer.
Every cell phone should have an ICE contact. I have three phones, all in plain view at my incall location, and in my purse during outcalls, therefore, a gentleman could easily make the call, or have the EMT/hospital make the call.
Hugs and Kisses
I have thought about this long and hard and the response depends upon the lady. I figure I have several choices: 1) if she is an ATF and we are close friends, I will do every thing possible to save her, 2) for BP girls, I would call 911 after the hour is up! Hey, I paid for the full hour and want a full hour! Oh, on the way out I would pick-up the donation. Heck, she does not need it now (BTW, I am just kdding!)
I would shut my mouth with the police though. I don't have to tell them shit. If I keep my mouth shut, the have no proof I was braking the law. STFU and you have little to fear. Besides It is rare for there to be a police report over a heart attack. It is a medical not a legal issue. If the cops comes it will be as a first responder not a police investigation. Don't say anything that would incriminate you and you will be fine.
You'd be a real dick head if you didn't call for help. Who is this person who wrote this scenario? If the guy is anonymous why in the world would I worry that I would get arrested?? He wasn't a law enforcement official so he's a fling I'm having an affair with! Come up with a better scenario than this fool!
There would be one undisputed fact - someone was on the room with her at the time of her death. Past that, the hunt would be on for you.
Your monger phone number is in her cell - possibly external cameras have footage of your or your car. Did you buy your monger phone with a credit card? If so, it's over.
Are your prints in the room? If your fingerprints are in the database for any reason, it's over. I can't even post the 100 different ways you can get caught, 95 of which you'd probably say "SHIT...I forgot about that."
Depending on just how pissed the DA is, what would have been a misdemeanor charge for prostitution is now a manslaughter or murder charge.
In order to bolt and have good odds you wouldn't be caught:
1) No external cameras caught your car pulling into the motel since the police will view footage of EVERY car that pulled in that day. Other cameras? Is there a 7-11? Any other business that would have caught your car pulling in?
2) You'd have to not only erase her cell history but rummage through all of her stuff to see if she wrote anything down about your appointment, then hope to hell your number isn't found at her house. I'm reasonably sure that with the proper effort the police can track your monger phone to you. Maybe they choose to publish that number to see if anyone else comes forward. Have you seen anyone else with that using that phone who might want a reward?
You might just make the local news "Possible murder of a prostitute, an investigation is on the way as the police look for the "John" who was in the room at the time." You won't get a single second of mental peace as you expect the police to break your front door down at any moment in time.
...the counter to that argument is if there is a death of a prostitute and an expedient autopsy determines there was no foul play (toxicology negative, presence of a congenital heart condition) any effort by LE might be dropped quickly. Theoretically the same would be true for a John but methinks there is more societal bias against prostitutes that LE might sooner drop interest in her case rather than his. Who knows?
...i'd work out a cover story when they get there whatever. People meet and fuck and use fake names all the times that aren't neccessarily escorts/hobbyists. Say you met in a bar...whatever. Cover story isn't more important than saving a life.
A gent had a Medical Emergency... was still conscious... insisted the Provider call his wife. He had "permission" to hobby so long as she didn't know. Provider & Wife took the gent out... to ER. Wife thanked Provider for saving husband.
These discussions are useful... Probably does not happen all that often but if it happens & you are one of the people the percentage is 100%.
One calls 911, Front Desk (speed response, EMS might need pass key), get chain off the door. Get patient onto the floor, firm surface needed for CPR. Do what you can until EMS arrives. If you can grab some clothes, do so. When EMS arrives they will take over treatment... grab your clothes & lock yourself in the bathroom, come out fully dressed.
There are other Medical Emergencies that can happen... somebody slips & falls during a romp in the shower... or slips while just washing up. Falls off bed & lands wrong.
I actually had this conversation with a Favorite Lady...
skb
Also, if you know that there is an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) on the floor, run and grab that. If you call the front desk they would probably run up with one. Dragging someone who might be much bigger than you onto the floor is not always safe or realistic and the AED will work fine in a bed. I recommend taking a BLS (basic life support) class at your local police or fire department. Good for anyone to know.
It's nice to see everyone is a knee-jerk humanitarian but I'll bet you anything there are people on this board who read this and said to themselves "Fuck it, I'm gone. Hope they survive and don't rat me out." BTW, I'm not one of them.
When a life is at stake, nothing else matters. Those few who would ditch would probably get caught later and face much worse problems as mentioned in some of the posts. But it is nice to know that the general consensus of this community is to help.
call 911 and the front desk right away
Although I responded a little earlier, this post got me thinking about a similar incident with my girlfriend when I was 19 years old. I went over to my gir friend's house after her parents and grandma left for a long weekend visit out of town. We spent the night smoking dope, drinking wine, and fucking our asses off on the living room floor. The action (drinking, smoking, and fucking) continued into the next day, when to my surprise her parents and grandma returned, unannounced, and drove-up into the driveway. My girlfriend was shitfaced, naked, and totally unresponsive. I was in a panic and suddenly a creative solution came to mind. So, I threw her up on the couch (naked) and placed her right hand between her crotch with her fingers at the opening to her pussy. Then, I placed the joint in her left hand and the bottle of wine in her lap. Finally, I grabbed my clothes and bolted out the back door as fast as I could. After getting dressed in the woods, I made my way to my car which was parked on the street and drove off. I never contacted her again and could only imagine grandma's response.
I write books on all sorts of things, do studies for organizations, etc. In fact, many people in my personal life have seen the reports I've released based on in-depth interviews with sex workers. As a result I have a totally legit cover for being in the company of a sex worker. So there's really no downside to helping the lady out.
