I commend you for you participation in this forum. I have the utmost respect for your legal opinions, and your willingness to share them on this board. I might not agree with you on every issue, but that is what the meaningful exchange ideas is all about. I also draw distinction between someone like you, who has knowledge of the law, and someone who has no idea about the subject, but has an unqualified opinion just the same. It is unfortunate that there is not more participation by those who have an understanding of the law. I also miss contributors like Lawschong, Liberalman and the others who have moved on. I feel that the caustic replies by the uniformed and the borderline illiterates contributed to their leaving.
Thanks much for the kind words. It's good to know I'm appreciated. I used to be appreciated enough that, even though I'm not a VIP member, my posts weren't screened and went up immediately. Lately I've been stripped of this privilege, evidently because one of my analyses - and not even a legal one - wasn't appreciated by the powers that be.
I have to agree. I've had a variety of disagreements with various folks on here, but their input has always been valued - particularly when my mind on something has been changed. After decades of working in politics, for the ULC, and now helping some orgs on decrim of prostitution and pot I know how often 3 intelligent people can come up with 4 valid opinions.
