Do you accept them as clients? Are they mostly outcall or incall? (I suspect outcall) Would you refuse the appointment if you didn't know until you met them?
Met the most wonderful client last month that happened to be a paraplegic. He was one of the very first soldiers over in Iraq after 911 and a helicopter accident caused him to be in a wheelchair..
He let us know in advance and we spoke on the phone regarding some of the logistics. He had an assistant/nurse to get him ready and show us a few things and came back afterwards to help him dress..
She and I both had an "Amazing" time (oh yea, I'm sure he did too, lol). It was my first experience of that kind and everything went very smoothly.
I can't imagine any client not informing a girl of something that important! As with any issue, knowledge is power and the more you can share up front the more comfortable the girl will be!
Yes I have quite a few paraplegic clients . They are wonderful guys.
Living in a war zone (Israel) I have seen it all . So it isn't an issue for me .For some it may be. I can understand that .
It is good to know in advance because there may be limitations of what can be done and it is just good to know how to prepare.
Looks , age , race , condition .........for me it doesn't matter as long as you are a gentleman and take care of your hygiene that is what's important.
I have had a few paraplegic clients as well as several quadraplegic clients. There only difference between those clients in wheelchairs and those without, is the wheelchair itself. Those that I have met have refused to allow their injuries to become what defines them as people. Their brains weren't injured, so they still have the same needs and desires emotionally as everyone else. It always amazes me that "they" are spoken of as if being in a wheelchair somehow makes them different or special. "They" are the same as other men...they just have a different means of locomotion.
I have never met anyone who did not tell me that they were in a wheelchair before meeting me. Most people understand that the more information that we share about each other, the richer the experience will be.
like the other girls have said so eloquently,as long as they are a gentleman and explain the situation ahead of time.. its all good.. BUT..the best part is when you get to drive them or ride with them.. you always get princess parking.. !!( calm down and don`t be so serious..). I`ll have to say though, when these guys have a good head on their shoulders they usually are the most APPRECIATIVE humans around.. and we can all learn something from people like that !, I like to think of the guy from Mexico that learned to play his guitar with his toes.. UNREAL>> He`s on Gary Cooper`s "Quantum - Leap Strategies " web site..Its all about the spirit inside.....
to describe an experience I had with a gent from the midwest. We were both members of a back channel group that had its own board with a chat room so I really got to know his mind ahead of time. Let me tell ya, he knew how to work it to his advantage too. What a mind!
He was (yes, he's now deceased) perhaps THE most compassionate man I've ever met. It was the most surreal experience I ever had...
Well, I have met with both paraplegic and quadraplegic clients.
One of the guys I met did not tell me before I got to his room and I wondered why the door was left open and he had tried to hide his wheel chair. Usually I would have refused the appt. but b/c of his special situation... I kind of understood his with~keeping this information... he had been previously hit by a UPS truck and was making the best of life... I had a great time with him and would see him again.
Another guy I met actually flew me out to meet him in PA. His home was very nice although he had it remodeled for his condition... Power lifter for his wheel chair from the 1st to the 2nd floor etc. I spent 2 days with him and we still email back and forth from time to time.
All in all both great times, both outcall, and Yes! I would rather know ahead of time that this is the case just to better prepare myself for the situation.
I have had 3 clients who are considered handicap (two in wheelchairs and one with only one leg--not including the xtra nice one in the middle..hehe). One of the callers let me know ahead of time. He was my first, he managed to make me feel comfortable with the awkward situation and we had a great time ...Otherwise I dont know how my reaction would of been with the other two. How severe does your handicap have to be to be considered paraplegic? paralized from the waist down? from the neck down?
