I recently responded to a Craigslist ad, and after about 30 seconds of conversation I could tell it was an agency scam. The girl on the other end actually hung up on me when I asked her if she had reviews. Therefore, I figured I would post a review on TER and let everyone know that this phone number was running a scam operation. Isn't that what TER is for? Consumer protection? Yet when I attempted to post the review, it was rejected for reason "Other," whatever that means.
Come on, guys.
You can identify scams (no-shows, bait-n-switch, upsellers, and rip-offs) by posting about them on the appropriate regional discussion board. It is one of the reasons the discussion boards were created, for the exchange of information.
However, TER reviews are reserved for describing and documenting actual encounters, both good and bad.
