Depends on the kind of person you are.
Maybe cause you're taken with this town and want to try your luck, just pick a non-descript bar inside the casino, have a drink, look around, chat up some women and hope to hit the jackpot. Finding a GFE, non-clockwatcher type in this type of place is pretty poor. Your negotiating cap is required but you do get to check out how she looks and it's pretty much on your time so it's up to you when and how long you want to troll the bars. Most of the time, you are left, wanting (unless you're satified with a single pop within half an hour, usually much less).
For roughly the same price (good indies charge around $350-400 for the first hour, some of the better ones with the combo of looks and service can run $500+) and some advanced notice (usually a day or more), you can find a good indie that generally give you an hour (or more, depends on what you booked) of her time and something that might be called GFE (or PSE). While it might be more expensive than what you're used to, your chances of having a good time have higher odds. The main downsides are most tend to be called for delay of game (sometimes multiple times) and there's a chance they may succumb to an injury and leave the field before you can even run your first play, but if they come to play, you can score.

Island Bar at Mandalay Bay seems to be a hot spot for bar girls.
Was there beginning of Jan and hands down has got to be the hangout. Even at 3AM while I was heading for my room I was accosted by a girl from the ladies room.

Generally, tourists go to nightclubs, bar girls hang out near the bar (where they can get a decent cell signal cause most double as agency girls). Security makes the tourists feel safe, they make the bar girls nervous and possibly get lost fast (kinda hard to do in a club). You might get lucky with a tourist and get some free action; bar girls never give free action and generally are only interested in your money.

Watch your wallet if you go with a bar girl. I've been a dumbass in the past and have luckily just lost my money to a few theiving bar girls. It's late, several drinks and what the hell. It sucks to realize you were stupid and got ripped off. Oh yeah and the service usually isn't what you'll get with an indy. Although I have been luck a few times.
MGM Grand has a lot of bar girls. I got lucky and one stayed with me for nothing for two days. But she did tell me that they do like to rob the patrons. I put all my valuables in the safe in the room. But after the first night all i really think she wanted was a place to stay. Just be careful i was warned
I promise you that. After 18 hours of discussion in very tight quarters you learn alot.
They are ALL about the $$$ and not GFE. If you pay them and leave anything out, they will take it and run BEFORE you have even had any fun! You would NEVER believe some of the stories I heard they were that horrible.
Trust me on this fellas, I heard it first hand directly from them and they weren't ashamed at all!
BEWARE OF BAR GIRLS!
Very pushed black chick with a silver tooth in the front. She was hot, went to my room, woke up the next morning with one hell of a headache and my 3K was gone. I swear she put something in my drink in the room. I slept for 11 hours and felt really shitty the next day from the drug.
Got the same thing done to me by a pushy little stripper type with new implants at the Flamingo in June 2005. It sucks big time. 2k out down the toilet.
