Nashville has been on my radar for quite some time, and I'm wondering when the best times to go out there to check out the music scene would be. I'm thinking of targeting good dates to really get a taste of the city and what this whole scene is that people are flocking to.

Whenever I go, I'll be setting aside a good day or weekend for myself just to explore.

I'm really big into the music scene out here in Chicago, so this would actually be educational for me. I'm not sure where to start, but am interested in any place that would give me a good taste of how the aspiring musician lives their daily life, or places they hit to get noticed.  

I thought it would be cool to see it first hand instead of how the media portrays the typical 'run away to hit it big' plot.

The last time I've been there was when I was a kid, which means I remember nothing lol.
