Let us not be naive, they are here and everywhere, on every site.  Any "high end" site is also on their radar.  Best to stick with people you have already met or have been recommended by a trusted member.

I am many things, but naive is not one of them. Nothing is foolproof but you can certainly help minimize problems by sticking to trusted sites.

And as far as sticking with a provider that you've already met or getting references from trusting members -that would shrink the opportunity pool way too much for a monger like me, and I'm sure others would agree. I like variety and seek it out in all aspects of life including this little hobby. To reduce opportunities because of fear of getting busted would be unacceptable.

Vice undercover officers are working the Roosevelt, The W and other high end hotels. Be extra cautious.

They mentioned busting providers that advertised online. Assume BP or other lower level, little-to-no-screening site.

Another great reason for both hobbyists and providers to use only trusted sites such as this one.

Looked for the story on the internet since I hadn't heard of the story other than here.

Found a link to a KTLA News report, which was terrible.  After watching it through, I can't tell if it was a sting for 'prostitution ring', or after internet solicitations. I think more likely the latter since the LAPD rented rooms to and busted the guys there.

What I really liked was the guy they interviewed saying 'yeah, I was propositioned in the lobby... it was like, 'what's your room?  what me to come over?  come on, I'm only a $1000'".   Yeah, right... sounds just the way it works.   Not.

Apparently, Vice is on the move though, supposedly another hotel on another night as well.

Play Stay out there,

No kidding - about as generic as you can get. And unfortunately, the only story posted anywhere so we have to just deal with it.

I agree - it sounds like other hotels are participating. I'd just avoid the area for the time being. Plenty of safer places to play...

Would love to have Nerissa Knight for one hr though.

From the news report, they had an interview with the manager of the "W".  He seemed completely behind the sting and offered the rooms to Vice.
