I've been around long enough to remember when he was a field goal kicker for the NY Giants, classic straight ahead kicker. None of that soccer style, back in the day.

Not old enough to remember Pat as a player, but greatly enjoyed listening to him and Madden call a game. Summerall let the game come to him; he never felt the need to "over talk". He knew how to let Madden be himself and the tandem was legendary.

Condolences to his family..

the Giants-He kicked for them in the famous 58 Colts Giants game of the century-He grew up in Florida and was a terrific tennis player and basketball star as well-Enjoyed his tennis calls with Tony Trabert at the the US Open as well as  his wonderful gridiron announcing-A true great-He'll be missed-

A great player and just a wonderful human being.

He and Madden were the best football sportscasters ever IMO, and if I recall
the only kicker Madden ever put on the All-Madden Team.

condolences to friends and family

Thank You Pat
