This is my favorite area! There are tons of great eats, some cute shops, yoga studios, and a HUGE whole foods!
I've never used the Metro personally but I know its close to the Shaw and DuPont stops.
I prefer to use the bikeshare which is a great way to see the city!
Ride over to Georgetown during the day and down to the monuments at night!

Enjoy

I'm planning my DC tour now, and struggling to choose a place to stay.
From my neighborhood research Logan Circle seems like my kind of spot - similar to NYC's west village or Nolita?

My only concern is the lack of a metro stop - do most DC gentleman drive or uber or will the metro access be an issue here?

Any restaurant pointers for spots with voluminous wine lists welcome too ;)

Sorry, but Logan Circle and most DC neighborhoods are nowhere near as cool as Manhattan :)   It is a fun neighborhood and I would recommend that you walk up 14th toward Shaw / U Street area for good restaurants (Le Diplomate, Cork, Estadio are all great).  Stay at Mason & Rook or Hotel Rouge (both Kimpton hotels)?  Or the Carlyle Dupont (on the eastern edge of Dupont, closer to a metro but also close to the 14th St. corridor).

Have fun :-)

I'm not really sure about  Logan Circle but it should be fine.
I  believe this topic was brought up before and people mentioned
Dupont was near the metro so it's more convenient but I'm sure there's a stop some where near Logan and if not driving or catching a taxi is always a option.
