. . .  by insulting people.  It's not a case of whether or not her comments were right, wrong, true, false, etc.  It's the mere fact that she made them.  Were her comments worse than Trump's?  That doesn't matter.  By doing it, she resorted to a Trump technique which sets her up for her "deplorable" comments being used in future Trump ads and talked about endlessly in future cable news and Sunday show discussions.  There will clearly be more negative press out of this than positive.

Of course you choose the path of immediately defending her in a fight against Trump when the whole point of this discussion (I know, a discussion is a tough concept for you to visualize) was not the content of her comments but the tactic she chose to make an anti-Trump statement

That reminds me; though I'm 25% Scot, 75% of the rest of mean barfs in my mouth just thinking about Haggis!  After spending some time on a sheep ranch in Idaho, and having mutton for lunch and dinner every day, I can barely stomach a good side of lamb, let alone Haggis! ;)
