Female condoms would be a good solution for the goal you want to achieve but there are a few things to consider.
As Betty said, many providers do no like them because guys try very hard to get BB and it is easier to “slip it in” without the receiver noticing. However, as providers get more comfortable with using them- it becomes easier to tell when someone is in, and when they are not. I tend to grab the base to make sure all is inside the condom but that act can detract from the moment.
FC are also pricey in comparison to regular condoms. Personally, I get them when I do my routine STD screening. My general physician instructed me to get screened at the local health clinic because being screened through your insurance carrier can get you “marked” for life. Meaning, insurance companies can use that to decline coverage at a later date. So I go to my local NYC clinic, which has turned out to be a great thing. I told my counselor what I do, so I don’t have to get lectured every time I go- she knows I am up on safe sex and she told me to take as many FC as I would like because most people don’t know how to use them. They even get thrown away for expiration dates before they get used. So that is an option for those that can’t find FC or don’t want to spring for the extra expense.
There is a huge benefit to FC, they feel almost natural to most men- especially when properly lubricated and warmed up, as another poster noted. You can also use them for anal, but I have never personally done this. The health department told me that many gay couples are using the FC, they just remove the inside ring.
One last note, inserting a FC can be tricky- make sure you hold the inside ring in a figure 8. Your index finger and thumb should be holding the ring in the middle of the 8- as you insert it opens up and fits properly. I’ve known a few ladies that couldn’t get them positioned, this will fix the problem.
Great question.

It would be wonderful to be able to spend several minutes after coming with a provider to lay there and enjoy the afterglow; however for safe use of regular condoms it is important to remove yourself from her while grabbing the base of the condom less there be slippage, etc.
Would using a female condom obviate this problem and if so, should I bring the condoms with me?
A little bit for the man. Still need to be mindful of leakage, so its not a perfect solution. Also I little bit like having sex with a baggie.
I think the best solution is to use regular condoms and be careful.
Stay away from the XL size (unless you are hung like a horse). Extra Large may boost your ego, but regular will stretch quit a bit and give you a snugger fit and better seal.
My $.02
I think is ok.
Most girls do not buy female condoms when they shop for the other kind. Not all pharmacies sell them.
If you prefer the FC over the Trojans, I think you should let the girl know ahead of time too.
Some girls never used or even don't like them, because they can have better control with the Trojan type.
FC gives the close BB feeling for the guys, but is pretty easy for a guy to trick the girl and go inside BB....so many providers do NOT like to use FCs.
Yes, female condoms are a great solution if you like to linger afterward. With proper use and a little experience using them, they do feel almost like BB. If you don't wait for the polyurethane to warm up and soften a bit, it will feel and sound like you are using a plastic baggy. If you wait, the sensation for both parties is incredible.
Be absolutely certain you use plenty of lube to keep the condom in place. I try to keep them on hand all the time but it would be very thoughtful of you to bring some for the lady you meet. The last time I looked for them in Adam and Eve, they were $29.00 for a box of three. If you buy online, you can get 25 for around $50.00.
Female condoms work very well and have several advantages, are safer for staying in with less chance of leaking out and no- it is not easy to 'trick' the girl and go bareback.
I was introduced to a modification by a savvy provider- remove the cervical end plastic ring of the female condom, lube up the guy very well, and place the condom on him.
Several advantages- does feel more natural than a male condom, once you've inserted, it stays with her so you are moving in the condom, the non-cervical end plastic ring keeps the end outside of her, and if you are large- there is less friction and not as tough on the lady.
And if you lay after still inserted, any leakage is outside as the non-cervical end plastic ring keeps the end of the condom well outside her vagina.
lol no, unfortunately you do still need to hold onto it while withdrawing. Not because of slippage concerns, but because if you don't hold onto it and remove it, you will make a mess on the bed LOL
That has been my experience at any rate.
This makes me think of a neat bumper sticker:
"Will sleep on wet spot for sex."
I am much more at ease by using both. My partner never knows it is even there, unless I tell him. Yes, it is a very good idea. You may also want to look into 'snug-fitters'. They are tighter condoms for those that have slippage issues.

In NYC you are not singled out if you walk into a clinic.
I am lucky to have permanent residences in two States...New Jersey and New York.
I can go to a Manhattan clinic and no one would take a second look, because there are so many people in the city.
But, going to a local clinic in the suburbs do raise some eyebrows.
A true story...I do my tests on regular basis and I always did with my trusted Doctor I have for years....she knows what I do for living as well.
My teen daughter got her first boyfriend and wanted to go on birth control, just in case she decided to "do it".
I called my doctor, but he didn't want to go saying it would be embarrassing if anyone saw her going in/out of my physician's office.
So, I did book an appointment for her at the nearest women's clinic. She wanted to be in a place no one would recognize her.
Well...we got there early and all was quiet and peaceful, no problems.
After the consultation, we were leaving the clinic and there was a riot outside, pro-life activists were trowing eggs and yelling "baby killers" to all the people leaving the clinic and, when we tried to leave, we got almost crushed because they thought I took my teen daughter for an abortion.
We were all over the 6 o'clock news, my daughter was mortified.
The next day, all the local papers had our pictures on the clinic protest article, front page!
For weeks, she was the talk of the town, people thinking she was pregnant when - in reality - she never "done it".
