GOP would be wise to let the 2016 Presidential election slip away, especially so if they have a chance at losing the House and Senate.
If Democrats gain control in 2016 they will be the party blamed for the next forty years, for the economic destruction and rampant conditions of despair, in 2017 and years to follow.
If the Democrats keep control of the White House in the next election, only certified idiots will believe the recession rising on the horizon, is Bush's fault.
Regardless of fault or not, the party in power will bear the blame for the next recession.

Dream scenario: FBI lays the hammer down on Hillary and she drops out, Webb runs as a Dem and gets the nomination and then wipes the floor with Trump as the GOP loses the Senate with him around their necks.
We can only hope this is true. Webb IMHO is a far better candidate than either Clinton or Sanders.
