I'm looking for some recommendations for NYC. Could any of you lovely ladies that are familiar with the NYC scene point me in the right direction, please
I've been trying to do a little research on my own, but I just cant really figure out the area that would be best to stay in. NYC is small, yet so big...
VERY generalized, for a newbie to Manhattan:
Don't go too far west (11th-9th Ave) or east (1st Ave) and try to stay between 8th and 3rd Ave.
Don't go too far south or north and try to stay between 23rd and 59th St.
That's for starters. Search NY Board for more threads with "Neighborhood Map"
Click on the big blue [SEARCH] button and then:
search for [neighborhood map] [exact phrase]

day range [555] to [0]
Excellent reference map. Even in Manhattan with lots of people, you don't want to stray to far off the subway lines. Makes it tough for lunchtime visits.
Thank you! I really appreciate it
Totally agree with the gentlemen stay close to subways , walking distance from penn station and grand central etc to avoid unnecessary delays
Awesome map by the way !
I agree wth the first respondent. For someone like me that lives in Manhattan and is single, it doesn't matter as much. But for any guy that's on a schedule, lives out of town etc, you need to keep it convenient to subways and convenience for them to get out of the City easily if they live off the Island. Most women seem to lean towards mid-town East. Generally convenient and a decent selection of higher end hotels.
