but what really throws me is the self-righteousness of the escorts fortunate enough not to have been born in southeast asia, claiming they are all in it of their own free will, but every girl in thailand is a slave to the sex industry. obviously the circumstances of our births play a large role in the freedoms we enjoy, but this universal and blanket assumption (and condemnation)is as void of insight as our government's current foreign policy.
this multi-cultural world will never be as simple as the dogmatists and self-appointed representatives of the divine would have us believe. and to blame the poor guy for getting beat up?? sounds like falwell blaming the gays for 9/11.

I hope I linked it properly so you didn't have to go the General Discussion board to get it. Anyway, I had a similar problem there last month. Never even got past the second bar and on to the TS bars. I got sucker punched and kicked. I saw the dude dancing around and decided to cut my losses and leave, after looking at all of his friends hanging around. My hip was black and blue for three weeks. I loved the sympathy shown for the guy from the London escort. She practically blamed him for all the evils in the world. Talk about kicking a guy when he is down. I believe from his post that he just was being a tourist, checking out the scene, and had no interest going into the bars. I am glad I walked out. I have heard similar stories recently about the same thing happening all over Bangkok. Watch out any time you see these guys trying to herd you into a lady bar.
