Good post, mari, and true, except that...

...in my personal experience of over thirty years, I NEVER encountered a cop who did not perjure himself.  Simple as that - lying under oath came as easy to them as breathing.

I lived it so I know what I'm talking about.  I'm not Jack Dunphy sitting on his father's knee, idolizing him.

This is what we call “inflammatory rhetoric,” like when I say the Board righties are clueless- no wait, that’s actually true. Or when I say the Republican Health Care Plan is a joke- no wait, it is. Or how about when I say “we should start confiscating guns.” No wait, that is a good idea.

Damn, I know I’ve used “inflammatory rhetoric” on the Board but I can’t think of any examples. Anyway, you get the point – Big Papa doesn’t really mean that “all cops are bad” when he says that.  He takes an example of particular cops behaving badly and then uses "inflammatory rhetoric" to make his point.

When he is in trouble, who do you think he is going to call?

A few weeks ago, Santa Ana, CA police raided an unlicensed pot dispensary.  They disabled all the video surveillance cameras in the store.  Gee, why would honest cops do that?  Wouldn't they want to preserve their by-the-book procedures?

Unfortunately, the too-stupid-for-any-other-job morons didn't notice one camera which then caught them "in flagrante delicto."  One cop was caught on camera eating edible marijuana, while a female cop who was trying to prove she was "one of the boys" joked about kicking an amputee "in her fucking nub."

Santa Ana Police Chief Carlos Rojas tried to explain away the cop eating in the pot shop by saying "it’s not uncommon for officers to eat their own snacks while they are at the scene of a lengthy investigation."

That has to be the lamest excuse since JD tried to explain to his cop daddy how he "accidentally" shoved dad's Monadnock up his own ass.

The whole incident could have been avoided if the shop had operated with in the guidelines of the law. The shop even received a cease and desist order, they were warned to stop breaking the law and chose not to. I will blame the "victim" any time the "victim" knows they are breaking the law.

Hey, lets blame the police for not being nice.

and remember, "they can't unrape you", either.

It's a Blue Brotherhood cultural thing.

Time for the "copologists" to weigh in, I'm sure
