Wednesday, December 3 is a Gridlock Alert Day. Each year during the holiday season, the Department of Transportation designates Gridlock Alert Days as some of the busiest traffic days of the year. Whether you are traveling to work, for shopping or recreation, please take public transportation whenever possible.
 
48th Street to 51st Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue will be closed from 3 PM to 11:59 PM for the Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony.
